The Triumphant Escape

Chapter Sixty Eight; Coming to a Decision.

Carmichael grinned, a cold, mirthless smile. "I'm going to give you a choice. You can either tell me where the flash drive is, or I'll torture you until you do." He said, his voice calm and deadly.

Lindsey's eyes widened in terror. She didn't know what to do.

"I'll give you one minute to decide." Carmichael said, pulling out a stopwatch from his pocket. "If you don't answer by the time the minute is up, I'll make you talk."

Lindsey's mind was racing. She knew she didn't have the flash drive, but she also knew that Carmichael wouldn't believe her. She had to think of a way to get out of this, but she couldn't think straight with him staring at her so menacingly.

Time was running out. She had to make a decision. What should she do?. That was when her eyes caught the pendant around her neck, she then remembered when her father gave her the pendant saying it was a gift from her grandpa.
