Chapter Twenty Three: Hotel in Texas

Carmichael relaxed behind his mahogany desk, his hands crossed as he stared ,lost in thought, he could not believe that he was unable to find out the where about of the chip that could change his life.

He suddenly stood up from his chair with a groan and moved towards the window, watching as the birds flew away and people rushing to their various job.

He continued staring out, distracted by his thought, when a knock brought him back to reality. He moved away from the window and went back to his chair, his hands folded in front of him.

"Come in." He voiced out after some silence.

The door swung open and Jeff with a file in his hands entered, he gave a short bow and moved closer, he readjusted his glasses and moved a curly hair away from his eyes. "Sir." He said in greeting.

Carmichael motioned to the chair opposite him, Jeff gave a nod in understanding and plopped down on the chair. Carmichael leaned back in his chair, his eyes scanning the person in front of him. "So... What brings yo
