Roland's Grief

Roland drove up to the cemetery, the sun shining brightly in the sky. He parked his car and stepped out, taking a deep breath of the fresh air.

He walked slowly through the rows of headstones, looking for his foster mom's grave.

He finally found it, and he knelt in front of it. He ran his fingers over her name etched into the stone, tears welling up in his eyes. He had been so close to her, and now she was gone.

The name written on her stone was AMIRA AMBER.

He took a deep breath and tried to compose himself before speaking.

"Hi Mom," he said softly. "It's been a while since I've been here." He paused for a moment before continuing. "I just wanted to come by and say hello. I miss you so much."

He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small bouquet of flowers that he had picked earlier. Roland placed them gently on top of her grave and said a silent prayer for her soul.

Roland stayed there for what felt like hours, talking to her about all that had happened since she passed away.
