"Young Master, who did this to you?" The Butler asked with a hint of anxiety in his tone.

The chairman was in his study, while they were in Roland's room.

"I got beaten by someone who I don't seem to remember," Roland said as he fizzled out in despair.

His cheeks hurt badly.

"We'll send the men to uncover who the man is but before then, I'll go inform the chairman." The Butler was about to leave when Roland held his arm, halting his steps.

"I don't want to trouble father not now that I'm still making an effort to please him." Roland removed his hand from the old man's arm as he fell on his bed, facing the awning.

"But he has to know." The Butler said in a whisper.

"He doesn't have to know and I'll be indoors for some days. As you can see my mouth is swollen." Roland indicated the left side of his cheek which was swollen because of the several punches he received.

"What should I tell him then?"

"Just tell him I'm sick, that I'll be okay." Roland finally said before shutting his eyes.
