Chapter 43 - Proclaimed Hero

On a cold night, only the moonlight can provide illumination to the forest. Three spies are stealthily walking toward the two silhouettes resting on the shades of a tree.

One of them throw two daggers with poison and the two followed it by plunging their sword into the chest of two silhouettes. But to their surprise, no blood comes out on their body.

Confusion shrouded their mind but they become alert when they feel a distortion of mana on their back.

They were about to jump to escape but they were cut by a halberd. One of the spies died instantly while the remaining two still breathing due to the cut on their necks was not deep.

The man who cut them instantly stops them from moving by pointing the halberd at them.

“Now talk. Who sent you?” The man asked who cut his allies.

The spy let out a loud laugh.

The man who has a halberd joined the laugh which confused the spies. But the confusion turns to fear when the man plunges the halberd into the neck of the spy.
