29. This is not imagination

"What took you guys so long," Zack complained, as he greeted Kaiden and Jake while girdling his loins.

"Because there are some things that need to be done right away, is Nicho troubling you?" Kaiden asked.

Zack chuckled before answering, "Well, not really, but he asks a lot of questions, he's also better at cleaning the house than me, he even made me a hot chocolate drink, I feel like a failed adult after seeing such an independent boy."

Kaiden just laughed at Zack's complaint. Nicho was indeed quite independent for a boy his age, due to the demands of his circumstances. His father was an alcoholic, his brother was busy at high school, and his mother was always working to earn money. Of course, Nicho had to be able to do many things.

"Where is he now?" asked Jake.

Zack pointed to Kaiden's room, "He's sleeping because he's tired of cleaning the apartment, I told him not to, but he insisted on doing it. So I gave up trying to stop him."
