Kaiden smiled at the notification from the system, meaning that he could indeed trust Mr. Toni to help him. Since Kaiden would be starting business tomorrow in the morning, this afternoon he went to the place where he last worked. He wanted to let his manager know that he was no longer able to work.

Kaiden's previous workplace was a seafood restaurant, located near the beach. Kaiden was taking a look at the beach for tomorrow's business. It was a weekend, so there would definitely be a lot of visitors.

Kaiden parked his bike in the employee parking lot, then entered through the back door as usual.

Kaiden's job at the place was to help the chef in the kitchen. I already told you, right? Kaiden would do any job, even if he had to be humiliated every day. The kitchen was a scary place, you couldn't play around there. Profanity and insults were so common.

Kaiden actually felt lucky to be working in that place, because his salary was a little higher than the salaries of other jobs. Although the work was much harder and more tiring. As the chef's helper in the kitchen, Kaiden was used to buying the ingredients directly from the market. So much so that people at the market recognized him.

Kaiden was not an outgoing person, he was quite introverted and could not approach others first. However, many people approached him, and he was always kind to those who were kind to him.

"Hey you son of a bitch! How dare you come in the middle of the day, while all of us are busy!" A new chef yelled at Kaiden. Kaiden didn't really like the new chef, but since he was the owner's son, Kaiden had no choice but to smile kindly at him.

"What kind of reason is that? I don't understand why my father would hire a useless person like you, who doesn't even have any food and beverage education at all. Do you know we went to school for years just to be here now? You just come in with a pathetic story and get a job in the kitchen. I can't take it anymore, you're fired! Don't come back here again!"

Kaiden knew that he had come there to resign from his job. But it turned out that after he was rudely dismissed like that, he felt hurt.

Kaiden smiled, "Alright, I'll leave right now."

Unlike Kaiden, who had no food and beverage education at all, Kaiden's helper friend had gone to a specialty school for years. Even though he had better achievements and grades than the chef who had just fired Kaiden, Kaiden's friend became a helper instead.

Kaiden admired him because he didn't envy Kaiden for being able to get the job with only a sob story. In fact, he helped Kaiden a lot.

"Thanks Zack, I'll help you someday. I'm fine, in fact, I was planning to get out of here, I want to try selling young coconut ice." Kaiden said.

"Seriously? I admire you for having the courage to do business, good luck man!"

"Thanks, I'll go first!"

Despite being dismissed miserably like that, Kaiden was relieved, so he didn't have to feel bad for the restaurant owner.

The restaurant owner was a nice guy, unlike his son.

"Hey you damn kid!"

Just as Kaiden picked up his bike, the chef who had fired Kaiden, Robby, came up to him with an annoying expression on his face.

Kaiden didn't understand him, even though Kaiden had been nice and hadn't fought him, but he still bothered Kaiden.

Was he the type who would be more annoying if Kaiden just shut up? Kaiden had been quite patient all this time because Robby was the son of the restaurant owner. So, Kaiden wanted to respect him, because the restaurant owner was very kind to Kaiden and helped Kaiden a lot.

"What's wrong, Robby?" Kaiden asked.

"Tsk! How dare you call me by name, call me sir!" Robby pulled Kaiden by the collar, punched Kaiden in the stomach, and then pushed Kaiden to the ground.

Robby's punch was so hard, Kaiden coughed on it.

"Why did you hit me?" Kaiden asked. But instead of an answer, Robby grabbed Kaiden again and punched him in the face.

Kaiden couldn't fight back at all, because Robby was much stronger than him.

"St- Stop it..." Kaiden mumbled incoherently. But Robby pressed his foot even more on Kaiden's stomach.

With trembling hands, Kaiden tried to pull Robby's leg off his stomach. Instead, Robby stomped on his hand.

"You want to fight? How dare you touch my leg with your dirty hands!"

"Aarrgghh! It hurts!"

"Hahaha, of course it hurts! My goal is to see you in pain! I'm sick of seeing your face, I've been wanting to hit you like this for so long, I can't believe my father likes you more than me! He trusts you to go shopping more than me, and he says your ability to judge good materials is much better than mine! That makes no sense at all!"

So, was that why Kaiden was always given the task of buying ingredients at the market? For some reason, Kaiden was very happy to hear that. Maybe it was because he was a little happy, so his strength increased a little.

Robby, who was satisfied with hitting Kaiden, was caught off guard when Kaiden suddenly bit his calf.
