83. Don't leave

"Are you going to your country tonight?" Steve asked.

Kaiden, who was waving goodbye to the Chihuahua dog and its owner who is now walking away, now turned to Steve.

"Well, I have a lot of work. My father will stay here until the business is done. Are you okay if I leave?"

Steve looked the other way, "I'll be fine, but... can't you stay longer? This is the first time I've had a friend as nice as you."

Kaiden invited Steve to sit down on a park bench, to which he replied.

"What can I do? I can't stay here forever. I have a big job and responsibilities. I have to fulfill my responsibilities there, but if I had to choose, I'd rather be here and have fun with you. I just became an adult and it turns out that adulthood has a lot of responsibilities."

Steve bowed his head, "Yeah, I'm the same with you. I guess I was too greedy to expect you to stay with me."
