87. I'm guilty

"Ella, what's wrong? Why are you being quiet and not eating?" asked Kaiden, as he placed the tray of food on the nightstand. Then he approached Ella who sat hugging her knees.

Ella turned to Kaiden, then went back to being quiet and daydreaming about who knows what.

"Ella-"

"I'm afraid... if the Beaufort family finds out I'm not on their side, how could I possibly stand between Lordde?" Ella murmured.

Kaiden was silent for a moment, before extending his hand and grabbing the beautiful girl's chin to look up and stare at him.

Again, Ella was lost in the enchantment of Kaiden's dark eyes. They were so dark and mysterious, Ella couldn't look away from them.

Ella knew no one in the apartment approved of her being there, except Kaiden. However, Ella closed her ears, her eyes, she didn't want to know.
