Shira's body was trembling as its eyes shifted from side to side, I took two steps backward as I looked at the body and wondered what the hell was happening.There were zero life signs in the body, and I couldn't sense her soul either!Ludeus's soul had dissipated, so it couldn't be him either.I got over my cautiousness as I approached the body and tried to touch it. Shira and I looked at each other as I started to think about where could we train.We needed a place that was rich in energy and cut off from the rest of the world. A place where I could have enough quiet to delve into my bloodline to strengthen it and understand more about the inner workings that existed inside it.I knew that my path was getting harder and harder to ascend, even though I have gained the talent that I have been previously so envious of.The problem was that I simply couldn't eat people anymore and then endure the transformations of the devouring ability.Why?
