I looked at Shira's concentrated expression and I found it to be rather cute. I almost couldn't help but want to boop her nose, but I stopped myself considering she was in the middle of comprehending the double-layer barrier pentagram, and my actions would most likely make her fail and begin once again from the start. I stood near her as I meditated, musing upon the combinations and powers of barriers, along with recalling any powerful auras from the classrooms that I visited that I could recruit into my future faction. The punk girl was quite frozen as she felt my aura batter against her body, her lackeys were in the same situation, and my question made them unable to comprehend what was happening around them. Their faces were blank as Lisar and Malaria were looking at what was happening with some interest in their gazes. I smiled briefly at the girl as I stopped projecting my aura and held a hand forward to her: "I don't like how you talk, but your strength isn't bad, and your type of behavior reminds me of my early days of traveling." Now that I was putting 100% of my attention on Janas and her gang, I was able to identify the reason they were able to continuously rev up their strength and continue doing the missions, even though initially they had a tough time killing even the grunts on the 5* tasks. There was a slight flicker below their feet that connected them, I could see that the connection extended from the sole of their feet toward the center of their chest and their heads. With a little bit of soul-search, every part of their technique was revealed to me. They could support each other through the connection they made. The basics of the technique seemed like they were extracted from a barrier of some kind, but the barrier was applied to the body instead of a special medium. It was certainly a very interesting concept that I noted for later, unfortunately, it wouldn't be too useful if you weren't fighting with someone else by your side to share your burden. After looking through the majority of the items that I had a user for, I closed the shop screen and sighed. It looked like it was nigh time for me to start doing those simulation missions to accumulate points for my future endeavors. I already mastered the basics and the more advanced parts of barrier making, there was still the production rune that needed to be uncovered, but that would come with time and more research into it, even the greatest barrier maker who made the academy's barrier didn't know how to craft the production rune properly, so I shouldn't beat myself over it too much. I stopped looking at the items as I was unable to acquire them for the time being, I already identified the things that I could use or wanted, so it was time to go. I needed something to do in the time that I would be waiting for the 5-7* missions to reset... Hmm... I could do some research on the Production rune, but I felt that regardless of how much time I would be looking at it, the progress
