While Lisar was quite bored, he wasn't so out of it that he wouldn't sense my gaze. After the beating I gave him, he seemed to have upped his training if the blisters on his hands and the fact that his aura had darkened even further meant anything. He wasn't sure why I was alone, and I was looking at him, but he seemed to have learned his lesson so he didn't antagonize me, he just waved weakly as he wasn't sure what I wanted.I waved back at him with a small polite smile as I got up from my desk and approached his desk.Lisar wasn't sure what to do as he saw me approach him, so he got up from his desk and asked warily:"What do you want?"His wary gaze made me look at him with a new light, even though his previous actions could be considered foolish at best, it looked like he learned his place rather quickly.I shook my head and put my hand forward as I said:"I'm sorry about what happened before, you just pushed my buttons a little wrong, I hope you can forgive me for my 'extreme' ac
The production rune was certainly quite peculiar, and the great difficulty of learning it was pretty offputting, but its ability to create life from pure energy was certainly something that could be of use to create resources and living places. Not only that, I would most likely be able to influence the creation of the planet/Heaven and make it my weapon.Having a planet as a weapon was certainly quite tempting, unfortunately, I was unable to grasp the power of the production rune yet, I was, unfortunately, lacking the full knowledge of a mastered law that was most likely needed to insert in some points of the rune to make it work.Fufflesnake was able to shine some light on my previous guesses, so I gave him a small nod which he reciprocated before he looked at his other students."Well, what do you two want to learn today?"I started to zone out as the knowledge he was going to give them wasn't necessarily useful for me anymore.I would wait here until the lesson ended so I could go
The punk girl was quite frozen as she felt my aura batter against her body, her lackeys were in the same situation, and my question made them unable to comprehend what was happening around them. Their faces were blank as Lisar and Malaria were looking at what was happening with some interest in their gazes. I smiled briefly at the girl as I stopped projecting my aura and held a hand forward to her: "I don't like how you talk, but your strength isn't bad, and your type of behavior reminds me of my early days of traveling." After the aura disappeared, the girl remained rooted to the spot for a few seconds as her eyes turned to my outstretched hand, but she batted it away as she snorted and said: "While you may be strong, I'm not going to follow anyone just because of their strength! You might want to recruit our gang into your organization, but you will have to prove yourself to us, you can't coerce us into it! The academy has some unspoken rules when it comes to that type of thing
From what I could see, Lisar and Malaria must have adapted the way they fought to the laws they mastered, making their combat flexibility disappear. They were trying too hard to improve their laws, which was counterproductive to both their combat abilities and their law mastery.I guessed Fufflesnake didn't list out these problems because he wanted them to learn on their own.Exponential growth wouldn't happen if they had their hand held during the whole process of learning.I scratched my chin as I looked at the 7* mission on the light screen.I decided against pressing it for the time being as I looked back at the weakened Lisar and Malaria. While learning by themselves was a good thing for their future growth, I didn't particularly care too much about that as they would be useful as underlings, not equals, and in the future, they could fix whatever problems that would pop up later by simply fighting it out on the real missions outside of the academy.I approached them as they sat d
Now that I was putting 100% of my attention on Janas and her gang, I was able to identify the reason they were able to continuously rev up their strength and continue doing the missions, even though initially they had a tough time killing even the grunts on the 5* tasks. There was a slight flicker below their feet that connected them, I could see that the connection extended from the sole of their feet toward the center of their chest and their heads. With a little bit of soul-search, every part of their technique was revealed to me. They could support each other through the connection they made. The basics of the technique seemed like they were extracted from a barrier of some kind, but the barrier was applied to the body instead of a special medium. It was certainly a very interesting concept that I noted for later, unfortunately, it wouldn't be too useful if you weren't fighting with someone else by your side to share your burden. Useful thing, just not for me. I sighed and wa
After looking through the majority of the items that I had a user for, I closed the shop screen and sighed. It looked like it was nigh time for me to start doing those simulation missions to accumulate points for my future endeavors. I already mastered the basics and the more advanced parts of barrier making, there was still the production rune that needed to be uncovered, but that would come with time and more research into it, even the greatest barrier maker who made the academy's barrier didn't know how to craft the production rune properly, so I shouldn't beat myself over it too much. I stopped looking at the items as I was unable to acquire them for the time being, I already identified the things that I could use or wanted, so it was time to go. I needed something to do in the time that I would be waiting for the 5-7* missions to reset... Hmm... I could do some research on the Production rune, but I felt that regardless of how much time I would be looking at it, the progress
We quickly moved through the Academy's hallways as we reached the Mission Simulation room.Unlike before, when there was no one in the room because Janas was scaring them away, the room had quite a lot of students now. However, when Janas appeared, most of them became distracted while they were fighting the opponents of their low-level 1* or 2* missions, some of them got injured and had the simulation end, while others were able to barely dodge and curse under their breath as they saw Janas return to 'torment them'.They all expected Janas to already make a move on them but she simply ignored all of their antics as she looked at my back before we created a team using the interactive light screen. The light screen flickered briefly as it told me that the limit of people per team was 10, which made me wonder how did Janas and her team work it out when they had 16 people previously, did they split into two teams of 8 that worked together? Hmm, the number of demons they fought was certain
We didn't have to wait too much time because the people I hired were professionals who valued their reputations. The arrival of the two architects along with the 15 workers was quite quick, not taking them much more than a few hours. They were all stationed on a nearby planet, not too far from the academy, just in case someone from the academy who would require their work would hire them. Unsurprisingly, not many people hired them considering that the number of people that could do the 5-7* missions wasn't that high. The students that attended the academy were in the millions, but I wasn't sure if even 5% of them could do 5-7* missions as easily as I and my recruits could. I shook the hands of the two architects as I told them how I wanted the building to look, I dropped the materials for the building to the workers, and after that, I waited for the two architects to make the project come to life with their skills. One of the architects started to draw into the air, taking the e
