As I wandered through the battlefield, my eyes started to drop, and I almost fell to my knees. I didn't know why, but a strange weakness started to clench its cold claws around my neck.

My eyes wandered around, and I could swear that I saw someone running toward the nearby bushes.

However, when I looked again, there was no one, and the bushes didn't move at all, indicating that nothing happened.

I remembered that I lasted around two days on the battlefield after I scavenged those corpses, was I already hallucinating?

I suddenly whipped my head backward as I heard some whispers going directly in my ears. They were telling me to dig under the battlefield and help them out. The coldness that went down my spine almost made me shudder as the combined and distorted voices of males and females went directly to my brain.

"Free... us... dig us... We... want... out..."

I clenched my arms over my head covering it as I tried to run away, only to realize that I ran headfirst into a tree.
