Davis pulled the car over near his martial arts training center. He got out of the car in his regular clothes, walking towards the place where he met Dave two days ago.

Davis was studying business as scheduled and resting to heal his wounds from the fight with Rico and the punks in the sama time. The mana felt like he was back to full health and ready for a fight.

"I'm glad you came, man." Dave waved at Davis even though they were still some distance away. "I left you not coming."

"I promised you to come." Davis scanned Dave's face. "Why does your face hurt?"

Dave touched his eyes and lips. "It's just a small wound. I won't die with just this cut. My father went berserk and used me as a punching bag instead."

"Your father tortured you?" asked Davis.

"Yes," Davis replied casually. "He's been doing it since my brother and I were little. His bad habit continues to this day.
