Chapter 33

"Was it that guy who threw the rock at me?" Davis muttered. "If he did, there's someone who doesn't want me to win."

"Are you praying to God?" Ricky laughed. "Even if God exists, He might not want to help you."

"Ricky had trouble breaking my arm because he had one hand pressing my head into the ground. He planned to break my arm first, then place one hand on my neck to render me unconscious. His choke was not as strong as Tonny's. I can get out of the hold," Davis whispered.

Davis stopped struggling, enduring the pain as Ricky pressed his head further into the ground and squeezed his hand tightly. Blood flowed from the cuts on his hands and neck.

"Give up before I break your arms and legs completely."

Davis scanned under the stands intently, looking for the whereabouts of the man who had thrown the rock earlier. He found a man far away from the rest of the crowd, ready with a slingshot. The light from the large pole helped him see the man more clearly.
