Chapter 6 - A Nobleman Who Hides His True Identity

After that, Daniel felt the urge to check his system, so he opened his hologram panel.

[Name: Daniel Elrod]

[Body level: 0.1 percent]

[Super Skills: 0]

[Money in system: Unlimited]

[Money spent: $20,275,000]

[Points: 0]

"The money is indeed unlimited!" Daniel exclaimed inwardly. But when he saw that his points hadn't increased, he felt a bit disappointed. "Should I exchange my money for something to get more points?"

Meanwhile, not far from where he stood, Erica continued to stare at Daniel with a look of amazement. "Is this real? An aristocrat with such an appearance? It's really strange!"

Erica had befriended many young men and women from aristocratic families. She knew their taste in clothes very well. If they didn't wear a neat suit, they usually wore casual clothes that cost thousands of dollars. She had never seen an aristocrat wearing a two dollar shirt and a pair of pants that cost no more than ten dollars. Daniel's appearance was very different from their lifestyle.

The admiration was not only felt by Erica. Everyone in the room had the same admiration for Daniel's humility.

There is a famous saying: "Never hurt the feelings of a young nobleman! If you don't lose your life, you will suffer a great loss. They take these words very seriously.

Like Erica, some people in the place have interacted with one or two nobles. Not all nobles have a bad temper, but never try to say no when they want something! Many ordinary people have lost their jobs after unknowingly doing something against what they wanted.

But Daniel is different. Not only did he not punish them after they deliberately insulted him, he even forgave them easily.

They also began to wonder in their hearts. How could Sandro play tricks on a rich young man like Daniel? The old man might be a nobleman, but clearly his wealth was not comparable to Daniel's. If Sandro had deliberately provoked Daniel, they could not be sure if the young man would really forgive him or not!

Daniel walked over to Erica's table and took her debit card. "Thank you, Miss."

With everyone still silent in admiration, Daniel slowly walked out of the room. When he was near the door, he felt the desire to explain to them what had really happened between him and Sandro. But when Daniel looked into their faces, not a single person in the room dared to meet his gaze.

Apparently there was nothing left to explain! That's what Daniel thought. Then he looked at Sandro. Daniel might be able to forgive him this time, but he didn't want the other students to experience what had happened to him. "Mr. Baldini, I hope you can treat all students better in the future."

"W-well, Mr. Elrod. I..." Sandro tried his best to find the words to apologize to Daniel. But before the old man could say more, Daniel had already left the room.

Sandro now realized that he could not play games with Daniel. The young man had far more wealth than he did.

Soon after Daniel left, everyone began to praise him. He had shown the attitude of an ideal nobleman. Instead of retaliating against Sandro's mistreatment, Daniel showed his magnanimity.

Rumors began to spread that Daniel must be a member of a noble family who deliberately hid his true identity.

Daniel sat in one of his favorite places in the corner of the cafeteria. Lunch was about to start, and he arrived early because he had made an appointment with Clara. As he enjoyed a drink at his table, his mind flashed back to his hope of moving out of the dormitory. Since arriving in this city six years ago, he had never lived outside the dormitory. First, he lived in a high school dormitory. After he graduated and was accepted to Tectona University, he lived in the same place as well.

Now Daniel had money. He had the opportunity to look for his own place to live. Daniel opened his phone and searched for a real estate agency website on the Internet. He saw several apartments and houses, mostly in the busy and crowded downtown area. Meanwhile, Daniel wanted an apartment in a quieter and more peaceful area.

Several minutes had passed, but he had not found a suitable house according to his preferences. Until the scent of a very fragrant and soft flower caught his nose. The scent successfully drew his attention away from the phone he was holding. Daniel lifted his head to search for the source of the scent. Not far in front of him a girl walked towards him. As soon as their eyes met, the girl gave him her sweet smile.

"Have you been here since earlier? Sorry to keep you waiting," Clara saw Daniel's half-filled drink.

But he shook his head when he got up from his chair. "No! I just got here too!" Daniel then pulled out a chair. "Please sit down, Miss Insignia!"

"How's it going in the Vice President's office?" the girl asked.

"Not bad!" Daniel replied while scratching the back of his head that didn't itch. He didn't want to tell the girl what he had just experienced. But he also had trouble coming up with another answer.

"Okay, forget it!" said the girl with a smile. However, Daniel could sense something different in Clara's face.

They both talked about their academic lives while they quietly enjoyed their lunch.

"Miss Insignia, there's actually one thing that's bothering me. Can I ask you about it?" Daniel's face turned slightly serious at this point.

"Of course! Anything!" Clara replied with the same expression.

"I wish I knew what happened to me back then..." Daniel looked away, while his look seemed a little sad, as if he was losing something.

Clara didn't want to tell him what she had done for him. But she also didn't want to disappoint him. "I was outside the classroom when I saw you unconscious in the hallway. I called for help and took you to the hospital," she said.

At the time, the doctor said it was just exhaustion. Daniel was expected to wake up soon. But the doctor's diagnosis was wrong. When the next day came and Daniel still hadn't woken up, Clara decided to visit him from time to time.

"You are very kind, Miss Insignia. You took care of me even though we didn't know each other before. I think I am in your debt," said Daniel, who was more and more in awe of the girl. Not only did Clara have an extraordinary physical appearance and brain capacity, her personality was also admirable.

But the girl just waved her hand and shook her head. "Forget about it!"

Based on Clara's account, Daniel concluded that he hadn't met Eleanor yet. At the same time, he felt scared when he remembered the girl's words at their last meeting. What if he had really lost her?

The memories of Eleanor seemed to affect Daniel's emotions slightly. Clara could feel the change. Daniel's face looked a little uncomfortable.

"Daniel, are you okay?"
