“Did you hear that?” Mason asked Rita after Brown left, raising a brow as he stared at her. Amusement lightening his eyes to a clear blue. Rita let out a small giggle as she gathered her things and stood up.

“I heard from him, Sir. Quite well might I add?” She shrugged and Mason laughed, but he knew quite well it would be foolish to underestimate someone like Brown. The lifting of the decree would happen in three days' time, and he also knew that sitting around and chit chatting was a sure way to lose, so heaved himself up, still shaking his head with a slow and low chuckle.

“Why? I think he just threatened me!” He exclaimed and Rita laughed along. Brown was a formidable opponent, that much was clear now.
