CHAPTER 36

Archer's reaction to Tangie was unexpected, she hadn't expected him to be upset and really leave her just because she asked to be left alone.

Frustrated by the way the day progressed, Tangie heaved a sigh, wandering away.

She strolled around and about until she circled to the garden. She stopped abruptly at the sight of broad shoulders backing her. Stubborn strands of his neatly cut hair danced in the air, sprawling from his forehead into his eye.

Uncontrollably, Tangis longed to hear his voice, to just see his face even though they were not on good terms.

Against her judgment, she sauntered over, and silently stood behind him for what seemed like forever. Mostly because she was waiting for his permission to join him. The other reason she could not speak to him was the richly garnished tray of breakfast laid out before him.

Did she cook this? Tangie wondered, feeling her insecurities rising.
