Chapter 9

Mason sits in the kitchen. What happens makes him so sad that he wonders when last he is this sad because of Bella. It shows he really loves her but Bella fucked up. Mason opens the goods he bought and eats them.

Immediately he gnashes his teeth on one and savors his taste, he forgets all his worries. He was glad and happy that he bought it. It makes him forget his worries and focuses more on the goodies. When was the last time he ate these yummy junks?

He remembers his task, the million dollar in his account. How is he going to spend it? What should he spend it on? Should he develop a business? Which business should he use it on?

Mason's thoughts keep wandering as he doesn't want to spend the money in vain. He wants to take revenge on everyone who thinks less of him. And to achieve that, he has to make good use of the money.

Maybe he should open a supermarket like Mr John since he told him he would never be able to afford that. He can disappoint him with that. If he was a Mafia or a famous businessman, then he would have forced John to sell his business to him to teach him a lesson.

But John treated him like a customer when he went to buy goods there and that's because he was performing his duty as his customer and John, the owner of the supermarket.

He should put the money into good use, where he can make money from to build himself. Build himself to the extent that no one ridicules him again. If he is well enough, he can leave this house for Stella and Bella if they haven't moved in with

Dennis before then. The two of them seem to be in love. They both look like they are deep in love but Mason knows Bella is just after Dennis money just like how she was after him when she thought he was a CEO.

He stands up and walks towards his room when a call comes in.

His phone rang in his inner pocket and he brought it out in a jiffy. It was the iPhone. Someone, a strange number, was calling him on the iPhone.

He picks it up instantly as he guessed it would be important.

He places it in his ear and waits for someone to speak before he speaks out. He has never received a call with it so he wonders who it will be. This wasn't mentioned in the contract nor on the flier that he will be getting a call sooner than he expects.

"Are you Mr Anderson?" A rich brash voice spoke out. Mason shakes at the wealthy dominating aura coming from the man.

"Yes, it's Mr Anderson on the line." Mason replies professionally.

"Mr Anderson, listen, you have been ordered to visit the Greenhouse estate for a handing over of a business to you." The rich man said with finality.

"And handing over?" Mason asks confusedly. Mason had stood on the passage close to his room which is under the stairs.

"I don't understand sir." He added.

"I will forward a phone number to you. You will call the number and it will give you directions. I will forward it to you."

"But can you explain more sir. I don't understand the handing over…" Mason is saying when someone cut him off.

"Get out of the way, you cun artist." Stella pushes him out of the way.

He staggers and moves out of the way for her. "Stella!" He whispers.

"Why are you blocking the way? Can't you see? Don't you know where you are supposed to stay and where you aren't supposed to?" She asks and makes her way on the stairs while raining insults on him.

Mason immediately pushes her out of his mind as he remembers he was having a call. He checks his iPhone but the man has already disconnected the call.

What is happening? What handing over are they talking about? All these weren't in the contract? They didn't add this to the terms. If this kind of thing should happen, shouldn't they have informed him before agreeing to it?

And Stella was the cause of the rich man disconnecting the call. She didn't let him hear his words. That impatient woman! He hopes he sends the number he wanted to and he will ask for more information from the man since he is so confused. He doesn't have an idea on what is happening.

Mason was so frustrated that he waited patiently for the number to be sent. The rich man seems impatient and couldn't answer his questions but the number he will send, after giving the number a call, he or she will answer him to his satisfaction before he comes over to wherever they want him to be.

He is so clueless of what is about to  happen.

He hears footsteps and he looks up the stairs to see Stella glaring daggers at him.

"What is it?" He asks frustratedly. It is this woman who makes that man cut the call. If not, he will have extracted some information from him.

"You are still on the way. Are you deaf?" Stella said.

"But you aren't coming downstairs." Mason retorts back to her.

"Wow, now you are talking back to me. Whether I am getting back downstairs or not, just get out of the way." Stella said. Her eyes went over to Mason's hand which he immediately pocketed his phone back.

"And what is that? That looks like a new phone." She asks curiously. She knows that isn't Mason's phone then where did he get that?

"It's nothing." Mason replies hoping she dismisses the matter.

"Did you steal the phone? And you were even making a call with it. Are you into stealing now, Mason? I'm going to report you to the police." Stella says threateningly.

"I didn't steal the phone okay. It's from work. And please stop meddling in my affairs as I've stopped meddling in yours. Afterall, you've given your daughter out." Mason says in anger and avoids her gaze.

"Mason! Did you just say that to me? Let Bella be back. I will deal with you." Stella replies in anger and walks back in.

Mason regrets talking back to her as he fears they might send him out of the house and he will sleep outside in the cold night.

He doesn't want to sleep outside since they were in a cold season and he doesn't want to cuddle all night. He hopes Bella and Stella both ignore him tonight as he has no strength to batter or receive insult and bullying.
