Chapter 34 || Nothing Makes Sense

Claire snickered lightly upon balancing herself and darted her eyes at the hand Alex had retracted from. Consequently, she folded both her arms tightly against each other, then locked eyes with Kate, staring challengingly. “I see you've told him about our family feud. You just never fail Kate. Just so f*cking dead set in bringing us to war with each other.” she crowed, and flickered her eyes at Alex, who, from his expression, looked both shocked and wrathful.

“He had every right to know the type of people your family were: the atrocities they had committed, their track records, and worst of all, the lives they had ruined,” Kate blunted then also eyed Alex, whose facial was livid and body stiff. He looked like he had just seen a ghost, recalled an unforgettable relic of his past.
