Chapter 47: Out Of Sight, Out Of Mind…

A few days after Victoria’s 6^th birthday, Jake received a package in the mail from an unknown sender. Orlando intercepted it out of suspicion that it might be from Jake’s enemies but he was wrong.

“It’s a photo and a note from someone you might know,” said Orlando when he handed the package to Jake.

“Thanks. I’ll have a look at it later.”

After several hours of sitting through virtual business meetings in his study, he finally got around to checking out the delivery. It was a photo of a little boy standing in front of a birthday cake while a woman crouched beside him, smiling at the camera.
