152: Feeling Remorse

"What is the meaning of this?" Rex asked them angrily.

"We are so sorry, sir; we're really sorry," they echoed in unison.

Rex clenched his jaw and his hand into fists. He sighed, trying to calm himself. "Not now, I've managed situations worse than this," he mumbled.

"Oliver, let's go in first," he said.

"Well, I'm glad you tried to assist in helping me, thank you very much," he said, turning to the security man.

"No problem, sir, anytime," the security responded and then turned to leave.

"Hold on, please," Rex chimed in, making him jolt.

"Take this as your lunch money for today; I'm really glad for your action." He brought out five hundred dollars from his wallet, stretching his hand to give it to the man.

"Oh, is this really for me? Thank you so much, sir," the man responded, stretching out both hands and accepting the money. He was emotional; his countenance couldn't hide the joy in him.
