Rex picked up the call.

"Hello, Jackson; what's the meaning of this? Why did you make me a subject of mockery? Why didn't you show up as you assured me earlier you were on your way, or you would have earlier told me you were not coming so I would know how to amend my schedule?" He paused and gazed at his wristwatch and continued: "This is already 1:20 p.m., since 8:30 a.m. I came here. Oh, now I get it. You used this opportunity to have fun and enjoy yourself—probably with a random girl you met on the street, right?

"You lodged in a hotel just to have fun and left me here to be mocked; you chose frivolity over priority, right? Have you forgotten you can be fired right now—I mean right now by me? It seemed like you do not love this job anymore. Rex reverberated with an angry tone.

Jackson tried to apologize and explain, but he didn't pay a listening ear to him—he didn't even give him a chance to talk, talk more of an explanation, and he ended the call.
