It was around 6:32 a.m. in the morning, and the sun had barely risen in the horizon when Ethan Blackwell was jolted awake by a very big splash of cold water poured on his face!

“What the hell?!” Ethan exclaimed in a surprised voice as his body instinctively flinched at the sudden shock!

For a split second, he thought he didn’t return to the country with countless wealth and power. That he was still the most powerful and youngest genius in the war zone, where every breath danced on the edge of life and death.

After all, only there could things feel this unreal.

Ethan sputtered and wiped the cold water dripping from his eyes and blinked rapidly.

His vision immediately cleared when he did that, and he suddenly found himself staring at an enraged but stunning lady standing at the foot of the bed.

And half-naked!

Okay, guess he did return to the normal people’s life.

You didn’t see stunning women in the war zone like this.

Her eyes were burning with fury as she glared at him, and her plump twin peaks were rising and falling with each angry breath she let out!

“What’s going on here?” Ethan muttered confusedly in a groggy voice as he tried to make sense of what had just happened.

“You disgusting animal!”

“How could you?! How could you do such a thing?!” she spat out.

As for the reason for her fury, it was something that warranted her anger!

She had lost her virginity with a total stranger, and quite dubiously at that!

“Wait, hold on! How could I do what?!” Ethan asked confusedly.

“Don’t you dare act like you don’t know what I’m talking about! You took advantage of me last night!"

"You must have drugged me or something! Or else, I wouldn’t be in this situation!”

She shouted, her cheeks flushed red with a mix of anger and embarrassment.

Ethan’s mind raced, trying to piece together the situation, and the accusation the young lady levied at him finally registered.

He glanced down at himself and realized that he was naked as well, a part of his body reacted involuntarily.

The stunning young lady, who Ethan recalled to be Aria Whitman, gave Ethan a seething glare.

However, her hazel eyes landed on the long, hard bulge in his outer regions, and a redder blush appeared on her cheeks.

“You sickening animal!”

SLAP!

“What the hell?!” Ethan, who was not expecting the slap at all, exclaimed in a bewildered voice.

“You pervert! Can’t you think of something else?!” Aria cursed furiously, her attractive hazel eyes boiling with anger.

“It's normal for a man in the morning!”

“And don’t accuse me of something like that. I don’t need to force anyone into bed!"

"Moreover, you were the one who pounced on me last night! You kissed me like you were gonna eat me!” Ethan responded exasperatedly.

Aria’s face heated up from both anger and embarrassment at Ethan’s words. She would never do something like that, especially with someone she didn’t know.

She instantly wanted to retort, but a sharp pain shot through her head, and at once the memories of what happened yesterday came back to her in full force.

It happened that Marcus Langford of the rival Langford family had invited her to a party on campus.

But turned out, he had intended to deceive her from the start.

The minute she accepted a drink from him, she realised that she was drugged.

She had tried to make her escape by excusing herself to the bathroom.

However, on the way there, the effects of the drug acted up when she encountered Ethan Blackwell.

He was quite handsome, with a lean yet toned body, packing muscles in all the right places.

She couldn’t hold herself back and pounced on him.

One thing led to the other, and that was how they found themselves here.

As the memories filled her mind, Aria felt her cheeks heat up both in embarrassment and shame at her actions.

She was furious at herself for trusting that son of a bitch, Marcus Langford, but there was nothing she could do now. The deed had been done.

“I see you’re starting to remember,” Ethan said, watching her with an unreadable expression.

“Shut up!” Aria muttered, attempting to swing her legs over the side of the bed.

Sadly, her body betrayed her, weak and sore from the effects of the drugs and the events of the night before.

‘Damn, he really did not hold back yester night! How many times did we do it?! Damn that scumbag!’ Aria thought to herself as she felt how weak she currently was.

As Aria struggled to pick up her clothes and underwear littered in the room, Ethan’s voice rang out.

“I’ll take responsibility for this.”

“Responsibility? And how exactly will you do that?” Aria asked, a mocking smile on her face.

“I can be your boyfriend.” Ethan said firmly, his tone resolute.

“In your wildest dreams.” Aria sneered, her tone extremely sardonic.

She, Aria Whitman, was a renowned beauty at the prestigious Tussauds University. And her family, the Whitmans, held a dominant position in the local wine business.

If someone wants to be her boyfriend, the bare minimum is being useful to her family's business.

Aria had never even heard of Ethan's name before. Which could only mean one thing: he was a nobody.

And those clothes he tossed on the floor? Worn out, faded, not a single recognizable brand on them.

A guy like that? As her boyfriend? What a joke!

"Why would you say that? If I were your boyfriend, I could give you anything you want."

Ethan replied, clearly confused by Aria’s sudden hostility.

"What kind of bullshit are you talking about? A broke guy like you have ever even been anyone's boyfriend?" Aria sneered.

"Technically, no," Ethan said casually, "but plenty of girls chase me around hoping I’d be their boyfriend."

As Henry gently guided Ethan toward the living room, another voice suddenly cut through the air.“Stop!”Margaret Whitman, Aria’s grandmother, entered the room in hurried strides. Aria was already walking away. She didn’t catch his words. She headed straight toward a sleek, black Porsche that had just pulled up.The passenger door swung open, and a stunning girl stepped out. Her oversized designer sunglasses hid her expression, but the second she saw Ethan, her lips twisted into a smirk of pure disdain.“This is my best friend, Natalie.” Aria said casually, glancing back at Ethan with a mix of amusement and something sharper.Ethan offered a polite nod and extended a hand. “Nice to meet you.”Natalie didn’t even look at his outstretched hand. Her eyes swept over his plain outfit, then curled her lip in a sneer.“So, this is the guy?” she asked, voice dripping with sarcasm. Without waiting for an answer, she turned to Aria. “I got your message. I see what you meant now.”Aria‘s smirk deepened, clearly satisfied with her friend’s reaction.Ethan could feel the childishness of Natalie’s attitude as he withdrew his outstretched hands, but he didn’t comment on it.

Just flash a random card and expect the doors to open?”Ethan ignored them both.He swiped the card. The card reader blinked green, and with a soft hiss, the club’s high-security doors slid open without hesitation. It had been mentioned by Edward Crestwood that only a handful of individuals worldwide had the privilege of becoming members with this card.It was a mark of wealth, power, and connections that most people could only dream of.Naturally, it granted entry to countless el

They were looking to explore other options as they had no faith that they would get an ally anymore.“I think we need to face the reality of the situation.” Margaret Whitman said with a deep sigh, and her eyes flicked between her son, Andrew, and her husband, Henry.“We can’t continue to wait and hope that a big family will change their minds and decide to ally with us.” Margaret added in a somewhat dejected tone.“What are you suggesting, mother?” Eloise asked carefully as she glanced at her mother-in-law warily, as she could sense where the conversation was headed.“I think we should sell our ownership stake in the company. The days went by quickly, and in the blink of an eye, two days had passed since Vivienne’s charity party. Aria hadn’t heard from Ethan in those two days, and while it was surprising to her, she didn’t think too much about it. As a matter of fact, she was quite glad that Ethan had not spoken to her in the past 48 hours. She did not want to have to deal with Ethan. At the moment, Aria and Natalie were in the garden of the Whitman manor and having a conversation regarding an ally for the Whitman family. The morning sun filtered through the trees, casting a soft light on the manicured bushes and blooming flowers, but Aria was far too anxious to appreciate the beauty of nature around her.Aria knew what was at stake. Although the Whitman family could still be considered wealthy, their business wasn’t doing too well anymore, and if they weren’t able to secure an ally, they were on a fast track to falling from grace to grass.“Calm down, Aria.
