David wasn't sure he heard her right. No one had ever spoken to him in such manner, if it wasn't for the feelings he had for her, he would have punished Ciara for being so rude to him. "Di- did you just ask me to leave?" He asked, a look of disbelief on his face.

"She's just joking David, what will she do without you? She's hopeless." Florence tried to cover up her daughter's words, but Ciara didn't give her the chance to.

"Mother, I am not a kid anymore and I think I can speak for myself." She shunned her mother, then turned her attention back to David who was starting to frown at her. "Like I said before, I appreciate the kind gesture but I don't need it. Dominic and I are very capable of handling this ourselves. So if that's all, you can take your leave."

"How? How are you going to handle it? By writing up a proposal and marching straight to the director's office and demand that he give you a contract?
