8. Expelled from Restaurant

Felix, who felt that what the security guard was doing was excessive, finally said, "Can you stop treating us like we're troublemakers? We just came to eat, nothing else."

Felix didn't want to disappoint his friends by not inviting them to eat there. Not to mention, his friends hardly ever eat at such places, and he wanted to make this a lasting experience for them.

Felix now had the money to do that, but it seemed useless just because of the restaurant security guard's bad opinion of him.

"Felix, never mind. Let's just go back to the dormitory," Kody said, worried that the restaurant security guard would speak ill of Felix again.

"Felix, what Kody said is true. Our presence here seems to be a nuisance to them," said Eric, realizing that the eyes of the restaurant patrons were starting to look down on them.

"I agree; after all, we're not so hungry that we have to beg like beggars just to be let in," said Levin.

Noticing the disappointed expressions that his three best friends were trying to hide, Felix was even more determined to make the security guard realize his mistake as well as his presumptuous actions.

"Hey, don't make me run out of patience. Get out of here, punks like you don't belong in this restaurant!" the security guard exclaimed.

"Meet me with your manager; I don't want to leave before talking to him," Felix said.

The security guard laughed, then said, "What do you want to talk to him about? Just so you know, my manager is a busy man, so he won't have time to meet with a punk like you."

Felix clenched his fingers tightly; who knows how many times the security guard has called him a punk just because of his appearance?

In the midst of all this, a beautiful woman about Felix's age came out of the restaurant.

She paused for a moment to watch the commotion not far from the door, then smiled before approaching Felix.

"What's going on?" she asked.

Felix quickly turned his head before being surprised to see the woman. Felix recognized her as Elena Nova, one of the most popular women at his university.

"Miss Elena, I apologize if the commotion has disturbed you," said the security guard as he bowed to her.

Elena Nova was a descendant of the famously wealthy Nova family in the city of Aberfoth. Not to mention, she was also a loyal customer there, so the security guard could easily recognize her.

"No need to worry about me; just tell me what happened." The curious Elena.

The security guard immediately explained the reason why the problem there could be created, namely because of the presence of Felix and his friends, who stubbornly insisted on eating there.

Elena immediately laughed at this. Felix's figure at Aberfoth University was indeed very famous as a poor man. Not only that, Felix is also a loser who is usually the subject of ridicule.

Not unlike Felix, his three friends were similar. None of them came from rich families; wanting to eat at the restaurant certainly only sounded like a joke to Elena.

"What you're doing is right; they won't be able to pay. Not to mention, their presence might make other customers leave because they're uncomfortable," Elena said, noticing the shabby clothes worn by Felix and his three friends.

Felix, hearing this, could only try to hold back his annoyance. This was Elena Nova, who was not much different from most descendants of wealthy families.

Almost all of them judged people based on their status and were only willing to associate with people they considered to be on the same level.

"Elena, what are you talking about?" Felix felt Elena had no right to say such things about him and his friends.

"You know what I mean, loser," Elena said with a sardonic smile.

Although annoyed, Felix still tried to be patient. "Elena, have I done something bad or wrong in your eyes? Why would you say something like that?"

Elena laughed again and then said, "Just having you here counts as a mistake, loser. Do I still need an excuse?"

Felix was silent, his head filled with question marks as to whether, just because he and his friends didn't live in wealth like most students at his university, he deserved to be treated like this.

"Elena, your words are too much," said Kody, who could no longer keep silent.

"That's right, Elena. How could you say something like that?" said Eric.

"Elena, you should apologize to Felix." Levin felt Elena should apologize for what she had just said.

Elena didn't feel that there was anything wrong with her words, so she said, "Will you guys shut up? Why should I apologize just for saying something true? The same goes for you, bunch of losers."

Elena said it all with a look of disgust, as if Felix and his friends were a bunch of talking trash bags.

What Elena had just said was completely unforgivable in Felix's opinion, because as a result of those words, his friends' expressions now looked very bad.

"Elena, you better leave and stay out of our business!" Felix said it in a high tone.

"Who are you to kick out a loyal customer of this restaurant?" snapped the security guard in a disapproving tone.

The smile on Elena's face widened. "Get a grip; you're the ones who should leave here, you bunch of losers."

Kody, Eric, and Levin glanced at each other; all three of them unitedly thought they didn't deserve to be treated like this and once again persuaded Felix to stop.

"You can treat us next time, Felix."

"That's right, we're not that hungry that we have to put up with all these insults anyway."

"Felix, forgive us. It's because of us that we have to put up with this."

With a slow shake of his head, Felix said, "It's my fault for stubbornly wanting to take you guys to eat at this trashy restaurant."

After his words, Felix immediately asked his three friends to leave.

"Why didn't you leave earlier? You punks were wasting my time!" exclaimed the security guard in exasperation.

"You better find a suitable place next time you want to eat; don't be ignorant when you don't even have money," Elena said with a satisfied smile on her face.

Felix tried to ignore their words, but before he could get too far away, a man came half-running towards him.

"Mr. Felix, is that you?"

Felix turned his head to see who had spoken; an old man with his breath in fragments was trying to endure his fatigue.

"That's right, I'm Felix. Who are you?" Felix asked.

"Oh, I'm just a lucky old man who was once helped by your grandfather."

Felix nodded slowly. "So, is there anything you want to talk about that makes you run after me like this?"

"I heard you wanted to eat at that restaurant. Do you still have that desire?"

Felix raised his eyebrows. "So what?"

The old man quickly took out his business card before handing it to Felix, after which he said, "I'm the owner, and I sincerely apologize that because of my employee's impudence, you had to experience this unfortunate incident, Mr. Felix."
