Veronica became a little suspicious when she heard Roy's name. She thought, "is Roy one of my family members? I feel familiar with him and his surname is Carter."

However, Veronica quickly denied her allegations.

Veronica has no brothers in the Carter Family.

However, she really liked Roy. Veronica said with a smile, "Roy, I hear you are very outstanding in the company. In fact, my assistant speaks highly of you."

"Thank you, Mrs Carter. I'm just trying to work harder than everyone else," Roy feigned modesty.

"I'm thinking of promoting some capable new staff. What do you think?" Veronica asked with a smile.

"I'll be happy if you promote me."

"What position do you want?"

"I'm interested in one position, but I don't think you'll agree."

"Nonsense. As long as you are capable of holding the position, why would I oppose it? Tell me. What position do you want?"

"I want to be the deputy director." Roy said it slowly.
