Taron was on the phone when Rebecca went in to meet him. He signaled, asking if all was good, and Rebecca nodded. Eventually, he got off the phone and Rebecca spoke.

"There's someone here to see you, says her name is Rebecca Torres." Rebecca said and Taron's eyes lit in recognition, and Rebecca's nostrils flared for a second.

"Should I tell her to come in?" Rebecca asked.

"Yes, let her in, she was the one who was working on—"

Rebecca cut in. "The Javier case, I'm well aware."

Taron was amused by Rebecca's attitude. Not that he was surprised, she was possessive and short temper, and if he was not careful, she could make him cry in a matter of minutes.

Rebecca got back to her seat. "He said that you should go in, knock once before you go inside." Rebecca said and Rebecca Torres nodded.

"Yes, thank you, I know office manners." Rebecca Torres said in a calm voice, and it was that very calmness that irritated Rebecca, making her feel stupid for acting out.

"I wasn't i
