Sarah was trying to get over all the things that had been plaguing her mind for the past few weeks. It was not working, but she had to push positivity, pushing p, or whatever it was that one artist said. She had pushed the “incident” behind her, and did not want to think, or even speak about it. And as for the man she met that day— the one who had saved her, she hoped that they never had to see each other again too. She had forgotten his name too, so she was making good progress with it. There were a lot of people in this place, and she had never seen him before, right? The chances of her seeing him again must not have been very high. There was commotion way in at the front, but as the men seemed to just be yelling, and not throwing any physical punches yet, she decided to make her way into the shop before anything else started to happen. With just her fortune, she could easily get a punch landed on her face for no reason. “Hold up, Sarah?” A voice called out and Sarah tried t
“I don’t think you understand what is going on here.” Selena said, obviously struggling to keep her voice down. “Selena, please—” Javier said, and Selena turned back to glare at him so hard that he thought her eyes would fall out. “Don’t Selena please me! What is wrong with you?” Selena asked him. “What is wrong with me? I just made a suggestion. What are you so mad about?” Javier asked, and Selena started to laugh sarcastically. Javier had made the most ridiculous suggestion ever, and Selena could not believe that he was even entertaining the idea. He had walked up to her in the morning, and told her that he wanted to be with her. Then he went ahead to suggest that that they leave all the money for Taron and go ahead to live together, but peacefully. “We should just leave all these issues, and start afresh! Come back to Europe with me, Selena.” Javier said. “Even if you were thinking about it, I can’t believe that you have the audacity to say it to me,” Selena sai
Taron sat across the Niels, who owned some of the biggest companies in Europe, and had substantial shares in Hong Kong. They looked like a good mix between the Chinese and the English, and they seemed like they were waiting for him to speak first, for some reason. “There was a lot of traffic on the way here, have you ordered anything yet?” Taron said, although he was on time, but he wanted to make the talk light. Mr Neil smiled at him. “No, actually, we had some trouble getting here too, you came in just about two minutes after us.” “Yes, and besides, it would be very unbecoming of us if we ordered some food when you were not here yet.” Mrs Neil shot her husband a glare, and Taron understood that he wanted to order something beforehand, but his wife had stopped him. “I was hungry, you cannot blame me for being hungry.” Mr Neil tried to defend himself. “You had food just before you left home!” Mrs Neil said, taking her hand fan and whacking him on the head. Taron loved t
“Why did you do that? I could have you arrested for it.” Javier glared at Selena, who just ignored him and kept her focus on the two cars leaving. She got up as they drove away, and Javier followed suit. “I don’t feel embarrassed at all, and what about the paparazzi? What if one of them get us out here and you’re in the news tomorrow, or maybe this evening?” Javier gasped, making attempts to annoy her. Selena ignored him. She wanted this to be some kind of apology lunch for Javier because of how she had yelled at him, and no matter what was going to happen, she couldn’t get all that money if Javier didn’t comply with what she had planned, so… “I have a lot of things going on in my head, so I would appreciate if you mind yourself.” Selena said and Javier looked at her as if he was confused. “What is it?” Selena asked him. “This thing that you’re wearing isn’t giving me the opportunity to hear you speak properly, you should remove it.” He pointed at her nose mask, and
“Where is that man?” Selena said with her face scrunched up as she went through the house with no sign of Javier hanging around. Javier came out of his room with a towel around his waist and hair dripping from his hair. Smelled good enough to eat too, if Selena had anything to say about it. “I thought you had snuck out again.” “Again? Why do you think I’ve snuck out before?” Javier asked, and Selena rolled her eyes in response. “He thinks I’m an idiot.” She said, turning back. Javier then craned his neck to see who Selena was talking to, and he saw a man seated in the living room. “Hi.” Javier said, and the man waved back. “Javier, this man is one of the best lawyers in our continent, and he’s going to be handling your case.” Selena said with a big smile on her face. “Yes, uh, why don’t we all sit down?” The man asked, and Selena and Javier went to sit down, and the lawyer looked at Javier like he had a lot of issues going on. “Hey, don’t look at me like tha
“What’s going on in there?” Someone asked and another person started to scream. “Help him out, someone is there, and he’s stuck!” A passerby screamed.- “We cannot keep talking about things like this while I’m on the road, Taron, and you know that I don’t make calls while I drive.” Rebecca rolled her eyes. “But you never want to talk about it when we are together.” “I actually wanted to talk to you about something when I get home, I have a surprise.” Rebecca said, her voice high pitched and all excited. “Just make sure that you—” “Oh no.” Rebecca whispered under her breath, but Taron could still hear the undertones of shock and fear. “Princess? What happened?” Taron asked before he heard the loud crash and sound of shattering glass. “Rebecca?” Taron asked as he got up from his office and rushed out of it.- Rebecca did not know what was real and what was not anymore. She could see hundreds of tiny dots dancing in her vision, and the airbag had hurt her
"Sir? Are you Taron McCarthy, here for Miss Rebecca Moore?" Taron looked up to see a tall woman with glasses and a very grim expression on her face. He stood up hastily, nodding. “Yes, I’m her husband, I’m sorry, I must have fallen asleep while waiting.” Taron said, wiping his hands on his pants. He didn’t like hospitals. “I was informed by one of the attendants that you were here for her so I had to confirm.” “Yes, that’s me.” “Alright, I’m going to assume that you are the person she is currently in a relationship with, correct?” The woman asked, and Taron nodded again, expecting the worst. “Well, I am Mrs Cooper, and I would appreciate it if you come in to see me in my office, there’s a very grave matter to discuss.” The doctor said and Taron’s blood ran cold. What was going to happen to Rebecca? “Please, if you would lead the way.” Taron said hastily and they made their way to the woman’s office. Taron had already tried to think about all the possible conseq
Taron had fallen into a helpless spiral, and he did not know what to do. With the exception of taking care of Rebecca, he did not do anything else. Sure, taking care of her was something in itself, especially as he gave her all her baths and made sure that everything that she ate was cooked by him. He could not work— could not bear to think about work. His heart was grieving, and his princess could not handle the situation that she was in. They had just lost their baby, and he could not imagine how it felt to her since she was the one who was carrying it before the dreadful incident. “Sir,” Jonas came into Taron’s study. Taron looked up. “sir, I was asking for permission to come in, but you didn’t reply, are you okay, sir?” Taron looked up at Jonas and nodded. “I’m sure you heard of the recent news.” “Yes, it’s a pity, my condolences, I’d let Miss Moore know about how sorry I am when she wakes up.” Jonas said and Taron nodded. “Actually, I was thinking, Jonas, I don’t wan
