Taron was tired out of his mind. After Anthony left his office, he had a lot of phone calls to receive, and eventually, he ended up hiding from the rest of them, because it was overwhelming. He was in and over his head, and so were they. "Let me rest!" He groaned as his phone started ringing for the umpteenth time, and he reached out, grabbed the phone, and threw it against the wall. The phone hit the wall, and he heard a crack as it fell to the ground, and pieces of glass fell too. Rebecca rushed inside with a worried look on her face. "What was that?" She asked, when she saw Taron all alone in the room and followed his line of sight, and sighed. "Oh Taron, I told you that you needed to get some sleep, you know?" "I'm not sleepy." Taron said as Rebecca went to the mess and picked up his phone, hissing as glass pricked her skin. Taron got up and hurried towards her. "Don't hurt yourself, I still need you more than anything else." Rebecca looked up and when she looked b
She closed her compact mirror sharply and frowned. Why did she care if any of these men thought I’d she looked okay? It wasn’t as if they could see how much she detested them, but she needed them to give her their assistance, anyway. “Boys, good thing that you’re here to see me!” Selena exclaimed, raising up her hands. She was happy to plant confusion into their minds. She had not been with any of them, but calling them boys would only inflate their egos and make them tell each other false stories about them having affairs with her. “Well, you asked to see us for business, and here we are.” One of them said, and Selena sent a blinding smile his way. Whatever his name was. She did not bother to learn their names. “Yes, I have a very wonderful proposal for you, but there are terms and conditions,” She said, and saw how disinterested they looked. “it involves the McCarthy’s businesses, just so you know, so you might want to look a tad bit happier.” She said, and they all look
“What’s wrong, princess?” Taron asked as he pulled Rebecca into his side. “Nothing.” Rebecca murmured. They were back to living together, and she was not feeling so well. She did not feel ill in any way, but she had a terrible foreboding, like as if something was just about to happen, and she had no way to stop it. “You don’t look like it’s nothing— don’t get me wrong, you look good, but you also look kind of down, are you upset?” Taron asked. With all the pressure from the other side outside their home, Taron was actually happy to be worried about Rebecca. Just her, as he was supposed to, if that Javier guy didn’t bother to enter what wasn’t his business at all. “I just feel weird, like, there’s something off, but I can’t tell what it is,” Rebecca said with a huge frown on her face before looking up to point at Taron. “don’t call me a Casandra, or I’ll hit you.” “Okay, violent!” Taron raised his hands in mock surrender. “You do know that I would never say that about
"Taron, I love you." Rebecca said, and just then, Taron knew that something was wrong. But what was going on was what he didn’t know. "Becca? Are you okay? What's going on?" Taron asked frantically. "Rebecca, where are you?" He sat on the edge of the road, mad at himself for letting her go by herself, he should have followed her! She had told him that things felt weird, and that she was feeling a negative vibe, but he didn’t listen. “Have you seen her yet?” Anthony asked as he walked towards him. “I can’t believe that I let her go like that, j should have done something!” Taron exclaimed. Don’t be an idiot, boy, you could not have known that this was going to happen, your mother even wanted to come, but I didn’t let her, felt that she would slow the whole thing down.” Anthony said and walked away from Taron to join in. It was as if Taron’s mind had clicked just then, and he got up, screaming Rebecca’s name as he ran across the road frantically. Anthony held him tigh
“Sarah, hold up! I’ve been trying to call you!” Selena yelled as she got out of her car. “What is it?” Sarah turned back to look at her friend. Well, Selena used to be her friend. “What is with the cold attitude?” Selena asked. “What do you mean? We have not been in contact for months now, and you’re asking me that? Do you even care about what is going on in my life? Do you even know what I’ve been through recently?” Sarah asked. “Well, no, you didn’t exactly call to tell me.” Selena said, and Sarah looked around in exasperation. “Yeah, exactly! I always have to call or initiate whatever contact we make, while you just sit there! You are a terrible person to everyone you know.” Sarah said. “But I have always helped you, and—” Sarah cut Selena off. “So? That doesn’t matter!” Sarah started to raise her voice. “I am always here for you whenever you need help! In fact, I have helped you more times than you have ever helped me, so you don’t get to use that as an exc
"Why haven't we found anything yet? The water here is so shallow, and there is no sign of Rebecca or her car!" Anthony said, and Taron turned to him. "That might be a good thing, you know? It could be that she was rescued or something, and having her missing, but alive is better than having her dead or anything." Taron said, and Anthony shrugged in agreement. "Yes, but I would very much prefer to have her alive, and not missing." Anthony said. "So would I, you know what I was trying to say." Taron sighed and kicked a tree with a lot of force in the kick. "Rebecca! Where are you?" Taron screamed when something caught his eye. "What in the—" Taron bent down to pick it up, and then he found out that it was Rebecca's favorite hair clip. His heart started to beat faster in excitement. Was she actually here? "Anthony, I found something!" Taron yelled, and the men went up to meet him. "What is that?" Anthony asked. "Do you recognize it? Is it for her?" "Y
Rebecca was not to be moved because she still had important operations to go through, and moving her from her current location at the hospital could affect her health negatively. Eloise had heard about it, and had gone to see Rebecca herself. The older woman had come to live Rebecca like her own daughter, and that was enough for her to cry at Rebecca's bed, at least. It had been weeks since that happened, and the doctors in charge had told her that Rebecca was to go through one final surgery where they would have to fix some things in her head. Eloise didn't understand what they meant, of course, but she knew that it was not something good. Taron was busy at work, and he had called Eloise to ask about Rebecca’s welfare, and whatever it was that was going on. “Hello, Taron?” Eloise asked as she picked the call. “Mom, what’s the issue there?” Taron asked. “What issue?” Eloise asked, suddenly alarmed. “Well, aren’t you with Rebecca? Have you not seen her yet?” Taron aske
Taron was fuming! He did not want to do anything too crazy in the beginning, but Selena had left him no choice. He saw her on the television the other day. She almost ended the life of the most important person in his life, and yet, she had the guts to be on the television like it was nothing. Taron was smart enough to not go and meet her where she lived, so he invited her to come out, and he knew that she would show up, because if she did not, it would mean that she had extremely bad intentions for him. Besides, it could also mean that Taron was trying to challenge her, and Selena had never been one to back down from a challenge, no matter what. Taron had Ben at the table for a good while, waiting for her to arrive, but then he remembered that he only had to do that on a date with Rebecca, or during business meetings, and Selena was someone he detested, so Taron got some food for himself, hoping that she would meet him eating as she got there, just to humiliate her.
