"Why haven't we found anything yet? The water here is so shallow, and there is no sign of Rebecca or her car!" Anthony said, and Taron turned to him. "That might be a good thing, you know? It could be that she was rescued or something, and having her missing, but alive is better than having her dead or anything." Taron said, and Anthony shrugged in agreement. "Yes, but I would very much prefer to have her alive, and not missing." Anthony said. "So would I, you know what I was trying to say." Taron sighed and kicked a tree with a lot of force in the kick. "Rebecca! Where are you?" Taron screamed when something caught his eye. "What in the—" Taron bent down to pick it up, and then he found out that it was Rebecca's favorite hair clip. His heart started to beat faster in excitement. Was she actually here? "Anthony, I found something!" Taron yelled, and the men went up to meet him. "What is that?" Anthony asked. "Do you recognize it? Is it for her?" "Y
Rebecca was not to be moved because she still had important operations to go through, and moving her from her current location at the hospital could affect her health negatively. Eloise had heard about it, and had gone to see Rebecca herself. The older woman had come to live Rebecca like her own daughter, and that was enough for her to cry at Rebecca's bed, at least. It had been weeks since that happened, and the doctors in charge had told her that Rebecca was to go through one final surgery where they would have to fix some things in her head. Eloise didn't understand what they meant, of course, but she knew that it was not something good. Taron was busy at work, and he had called Eloise to ask about Rebecca’s welfare, and whatever it was that was going on. “Hello, Taron?” Eloise asked as she picked the call. “Mom, what’s the issue there?” Taron asked. “What issue?” Eloise asked, suddenly alarmed. “Well, aren’t you with Rebecca? Have you not seen her yet?” Taron aske
Taron was fuming! He did not want to do anything too crazy in the beginning, but Selena had left him no choice. He saw her on the television the other day. She almost ended the life of the most important person in his life, and yet, she had the guts to be on the television like it was nothing. Taron was smart enough to not go and meet her where she lived, so he invited her to come out, and he knew that she would show up, because if she did not, it would mean that she had extremely bad intentions for him. Besides, it could also mean that Taron was trying to challenge her, and Selena had never been one to back down from a challenge, no matter what. Taron had Ben at the table for a good while, waiting for her to arrive, but then he remembered that he only had to do that on a date with Rebecca, or during business meetings, and Selena was someone he detested, so Taron got some food for himself, hoping that she would meet him eating as she got there, just to humiliate her. Poor Rebe
Selena’s heart was beating faster than usual when she got to her car. She face palmed herself. Of course Taron would have asked about Rebecca, why did she have to let herself panic like that? Now she made herself look guilty. “Stupid Taron McCarthy!” She groaned. Taron had invited her to lunch, and she thought that maybe he would want to compromise by making Javier’s share a little bigger, and she like reject her offer and happily step on his face before leaving, but none of that happened. Instead, he was having fun poking at her verbally and watching her squirm. Even took her food away from her when she was only halfway done with it. If only she had not accepted his invite in the first place, Selena thought. Sarah would think that she was a fool and make a lot of noise about the mighty falling and everything. But it had to be a good thing, right? Selena could not take her mind off the fact that since Taron had called her to tell ask her about Rebecca’s whereabouts, then
Taron got out of his seat, tired of all the terrible things that had been happening— not that Rebecca getting out of there on time before anything could happen was a terrible thing, but the fact that he could not do anything about it. ‘It’, being the fact that he could not go to Rebecca just yet. All that he could hope was that she would get up from the bed sooner, rather than later. “And now, I have to deal with idiots all around me.” Taron muttered and got up, realizing that maybe it was the office that was making him have such a terrible attitude. People did not want to deal with that! He didn’t even like dealing with himself in this mood, and Taron remembered that he had made the decision to be a wonderful boss. Snapping at anyone who asked about Rebecca, biting his employees heads off for the smallest, excusable things? When did he turn to this? Taron knew that he was not exactly to blame, but the people working under him did not know that, or about anything that was go
Everything is too quiet, Taron thought as he got up. “Everything is to quiet!” He said, and his voice bounced off his walls, filling him with some kind of eerie sensation. Taron wondered why the day felt so strange, but then he remembered that it was the third day, and he got to see Rebecca come out today. “Jonas!” Taron yelled with a smile on his face. Jonas was back from his vacation, and he was not happy with how things had gone, but he was feeling extremely refreshed from his trip. If only he was around, nothing would have happened to Rebecca, because he would have been in the same car as her, and even if she drove, he would have thrown himself at her immediately, even if it cost him his life. He owed these people that much. “Going to see Miss Moore, sir?” Jonas asked, and Taron grinned excitedly at him. “You know it!” Taron said happily. “Oh Jonah, I wish I had three of you, one for me as my personal companion asides my girl, one for my mother, and one for my gi
Selena was pacing around as she waited for them to arrive. She had had this nagging feeling for a good, long while now, and now she was sure of it! Taron was playing mind games with her, just as she had been doing with him. "Excuse me? Why did you text like that? I was startled!" Sarah said, looking at Sarah in disbelief as she came inside the house. "It was urgent!" Selena sighed. "You're the first to arrive, I'm waiting for the rest, champagne?" "What do you mean by that? Who else is coming? And next time something is urgent and other people are coming, let me know so that I can prepare!" Sarah yelled. "But you look good already." Selena rolled her eyes. "I can look better." Sarah whined and went to find a spot to sit. "Would you at least tell me why you did this? Why you suddenly called people in here?" Sarah asked. "I'm your best friend, and you're still going to tell everyone eventually!" Selena sighed. She was tired of keeping it to herself anyway. "Wel
Taron was too busy, as there was a lot of workload on his head for him to do when the phone call came in. "Taron?" It was Anthony. "Yes, Anthony? What happened?" Taron asked, suddenly worried. "It's good news, actually, you have to know that Rebecca is awake." Anthony said and Taron's heart stopped. He was not sure that he had heard correctly, so he got to his feet slowly. "What are you talking about?" Taron asked. "Rebecca, she is currently awake and she is talking to your mother currently." Anthony said, and Taron was silent for a few seconds before he got very excited. "I'm on my way!" Taron said and cut the call. "Julian!" Taron's current secretary started to knock at the door when he heard his name, and all Taron could wonder was the kind of idiot that he had hired as he secretary. "Come in, Julian! You only have to knock twice and open up when I call you in myself!" Taron yelled and the door opened, and Julian practically flew into the office. "What is
