Taron stared at the text Rebecca had sent to him in disbelief. Not that he was surprised, he was actually expecting something like this to happen. It was Selena and her friend for crying out loud. Something chaotic would have happened, definitely. Taron had given Rebecca more off days but she decided to spend them at work, helping out. Train was not complaining about it at all, anyway. But then Taron got a call from Selena around nine in the morning, and he could not hear what she had said so he cut the call in annoyance, wondering if she was being dense on purpose or she really could not take a hint. About fifteen to thirty minutes later, Selena called Taron again and he picked the call with annoyance. “Selena!” Taron yelled. “I have told you countless times to stop calling me and you keep on doing the same thing over and over again!” “I’m sorry sir, but you were one of her emergency numbers, and we also noticed that you were the last person that she called.” A male voic
"I'm still not over the fact that you went there, only to almost get locked up, you were lucky that I arrived on time, honestly." Taron said, leaving Rebecca alone to go in. After the incident of the previous day, Taron had drove Rebecca straight home and asked her to show up for work the next day. Rebecca was too ashamed to say anything, and Taron did not tell her anything else either. Rebecca got up and turned back. "I'm sorry,8 just wanted to check if she was okay, I didn't know that she would go that far." "Well now you know, understand that not everyone has your best interests at heart." Taron said and went into his office. There was so much to do and with all the drama surrounding them, it seemed like they would not be able to round up their activities for the month without extra work put in. Taron was deep in thought when he heard commotion from the other side of the door and wondered if Rebecca was having a fall out wit one of the cleaners, or maybe she was so angry sh
Taron wonders what it was that had been bugging Rebecca. Then he remembered what had happened. “Maybe Quinn gave her something to be mad about.” He said, unamused and continued with his work without worrying about it further. Rebecca, on the other hand, was fuming. While she had been worried the day before, Taron had left her with her jerk of an ex boyfriend, and went to go to a party. She even saw the pictures! He took a picture with Miss World by his side, and one of his hands was sneaking across her waist. Rebecca saw the picture on Gossip Baby immediately it was posted and got irritated by the number of people who were shipping Taron with Miss World. Rebecca had even gone to the lady’s page to confirm for herself that it was not a photoshopped photo, when she saw that the woman had posted the picture and captioned it, and Taron had even commented under the post. Did he have absolutely no shame? She fumed. Then Rebecca remembered that she had no right to be angry, and that
Taron was tired of the mixing up with people that he was tired of meeting, and some that he had already met earlier, and the terrible headache that he had was not helping matters. “I wish we could leave this place.” Taron said, whispering into Rebecca’s ear. Rebecca mistook his intentions and turned to him with a flirtatious smile. “Why? Are you that bored?” “Bored is an understatement. I’m tired of this place,” Taron said. “if only something interesting would happen.” “It’s always fun and games in the invitations until you keep on seeing the same people to talk about the same things and playing the same games to eat the same food all the time.” Rebecca agreed, eager to please her boss. A woman approached them and tapped Taron from the back. “Taron!” She squealed. Taron turned back in surprise. “Freya!” They exchanged handshakes. “Seeing you for the second time this month.” “Looks like we are being given a sign.” She chuckled and pushed some hair that was in her
Rebecca understood why she felt bitter whenever she saw Taron talking to other woman, and although the truth had been quite obvious for a while, it was surprising to her when she was able to admit the truth to herself. She had done the one thing that she had said she would not do, and that was to fall in love with her boss. “How did I let this happen?” She asked as she got into the bus. Her car was having issues and she was already late to work, so there was no time to fix it. She had pondered over it and wondered what to do with her feelings. She really wanted Taron to know, and she hoped he reciprocated her feelings. And even that did not seem possible. Taron was just a nice guy to people in general, not just to her. She planned not to bottle her crush on him up, but to just do nothing about it. If, for any reason, he asked her about who she had feelings for, she would tell him the truth, and if he did not ask anything related to what she felt for him, then there was no rea
Taron was going to take a break when the call came in from his mother. He ignored the call and leaned back, closing his eyes. The call came in again and he picked it up, knowing that she would continue to bug him if he ignored her. “Mom, I was trying to get some rest.” Taron said in annoyance. “Did you have to call me that bad?” “I’m sorry baby, but I have news for you, and it’s concerning that girl that was your former girlfriend.” Eloise said gravely. “What did she do now?” Taron asked in annoyance. “She did not do anything, she can’t do anything now because she is dead.” Eloise said to him. “Now, what are you taking about, mom?” Taron asked. “At this point, I’m sure that you live under a rock.” Eloise replied, and Taron could imagine her rolling her eyes as she said that. “Fine, I’ll check.” I said, sitting up on the sofa. My phone started to ring again and I picked the call. It was from Selena. “Taron?” An unfamiliar voice asked. “Who is this?”
It’s such a beautiful day. No unnecessary noise, and people— well dressed people are minding their business as they go around their daily activities. I have nothing to worry about as I am finally at peace for the first time in a long while and this feels terrific. Also— A car honking interrupted Taron’s internal monologue and he turned around to glare at whoever it was that had just disturbed his peace. For the first time in a very long time, Taron had left his home to go and take a walk. And unguarded too. He felt that he was getting so used to having security around him, even if he could not see them most times unless he called one out to do something for him, that if something happened, he feared that he would not be able to function properly unless his men were around. With everything that had been happening around him lately, Taron felt like he needed the solitude of a walk. He used to go on works regularly before he got the life that he was living currently, and doing it n
The past month had been rough as he had to attend cases as the most important witness to Steve Garrick’s death, and he was the one that Steve Garrick was trying to attack before Steve got shot dead by an unknown shooter. Everything had passed, and to Taron’s surprise, there was a trial for Steve and he was found guilty for stalking and attempted murder, but Taron did not think much of it since Steve was going to be buried some time soon. He decided to go to South Africa, mainly because Rebecca had said that she had always wanted to go there and Taron was trying to appease her because she had been doing work that she was not expected to do. Work, referring to how she was with easing how dangerous the world of the wealthy was, and it was not her fault. Taron honestly did not really like the idea of leaving to go on a vacation, as he felt that there was still much more. He wanted to, actually, he just felt that it would be inappropriate for him to leave. But then, on the bright si
