CHAPTER 97

Taron was already missing for well over a month and there was no information about him that led to him. All the holes led to other situations. So far, according to Anthony, they had rescued children that were to be trafficked in two different places, and they also destroyed an illegal organ harvesting operation.

All that was wonderful, but what Rebecca really wanted more than anything else was to see her boss again.

“I’m not strong enough to deal with this.” She mumbled as her mind created images— gory images with Taron in them, causing her to shiver.

“Taron, wherever you are, please be safe.” Rebecca’s stomach rumbled for the hundredth time, and she decided that it was time for her to finally get some food.

She was starving herself on purpose, because she knew that wherever Taron was, he was most likely not eaten as much as he would have preferred to, that is, if he was being served proper food.
