After a week with Miranda in the new position, Liam notices that she is more tired than usual and working harder than she used to.

‘’Lunch time,’’ Liam says, holding up a brown bag with burgers.

Miranda holds up one finger, then looks back at the screen.

Liam walks around the desk to see what she is doing, then frowns. ‘’Why are you doing taxes?’’

‘’Because I was asked to.’’

‘’By whom?’’

‘’Annie.’’

Liam is confused by this, because it isn’t Miranda’s duty to do this. All she is there to do in the new position is to perform cost-benefit analyses of existing and potential customers and to also maintain a positive business relationship to ensure future sales.

‘’Liam, it is no bother and to be honest, I had nothing to do until she gave me this task.’’
