Rebecca and Myles got off of the car as they rounded the corner. They were in the Coopers' villa. Rebecca watched in awe at the magnitude of the buildings. It looked like this was a new city all together. Like it was a city on its own. Rebecca was still watching the beauty of the mansions and buildings in the Coopers'villa when Myles came to stand beside her. "Do you like what you see?" He asked her and she glanced at him. She looked back at the magnificent buildings. "Remind me of how you are connected to the Coopers again?" She said and he chuckled. He knew she still found it hard to believe that he had connections and personal relationships with the Coopers. She should wait until Hillary Cooper dotted on him in her presence. Myles let out a huff as he put his hands into his pockets. The officially dressed special intelligence security men stood minding their businesses like they weren't hearing the conversation Rebecca was having with Myles. They were that trained. Rebecca could
"You made poor Elizabeth to miss you so much." Mrs Cooper said to Myles and Rebecca's interest was piqued. Who was Elizabeth? Just then the guard returned with a tray of drinks, empty glasses and a bottle of wine. He poured into the wine glasses and served them. Myles chuckled from beside Rebecca. "I will speak with Elizabeth," he spoke. "She upstairs?" He asked. "No, haven't you heard?" Mrs Cooper asked and Myles looked at her with curiosity. That was when Mrs Cooper noticed Rebecca. "Oh, you brought your fiancee." She said and smiled warmly at Rebecca but her joy was cut short by Mr Coopers' interjection. "Business partner." He corrected her. "She's his business partner. " He said coldly. Rebecca saw that Mr Cooper regarded her with cold eyes. What had gone wrong? Had she said anything rude or arrogant? "Oh," Hillary said taken aback. She wasn't used to seeing her husband this cold, especially when he was around guests. What could be the matter? She wondered. Rebecca gently
Ashton saw the car that was pack in front of the house from the window. He watched Elizabeth get off of the car. She had on a dress that flowed with a jacket she simply placed on her shoulders without having to wear it. She had on a pair of dark sun shades and she wore shiny red heels. Ashton could see that her hair was well groomed and let down behind her back. He continued to watch her from the window in his office that overlooked the park. He wondered why she was here? Did she come to speak with Thomas or to him? Or was she here for the both of them?....He saw her disappear through the entrance underneath and just then, Thomas joined him at the window. "What 'you peaking at from up here?" Thomas asked him and he turned to Thomas. "I think we've got a visitor." Ashton told him. Thomas took a sip from the cup of coffee he had in his hand. "Business visitors?" He asked and Ashton let out a sigh. "You'll see." He told him. Just then, someone knocked on the door to Ashton's office
"Dude," Thomas called as he got into Ashton's office. "She likes you." He said and Ashton rolled his eyes at Thomas' ridiculous insinuation."Shut up." Ashton muttered as he focused on his personal computer."I'm telling you," Thomas said. "Did you see the way she watched you though?" He asked and Ashton rolled his eyes again."Don't you have work to do? Aren't you supposed to be meeting up with deadlines?" Ashton asked with an irritated expression on his face."I forgive you." Thomas said with a smile on his face. "You seem to have forgotten so soon that I am the CEO here and I call the shots." He boasted and Ashton smiled. Thomas was indeed a cocky bastard."Sometimes I wonder why we're partners, I should have refused your offer back then." Ashton muttered to himself but not so quietly, he wanted Thomas to hear him."You really need to listen to me though," Thomas went on and Ashton shook his head tiredly at h
Rebecca stood in the house with her mother and brother. They both watched her, not understanding why she was screaming."What is the problem Rebecca?" Diana asked her daughter. Rebecca remained silent. She wasn't aware of her environment. She wasn't aware of the people in the room with her. All that she thought about was the events of the day she just had. She hated that Ashton had to be the one to ruin what she saw was going to be the big break for her.Theron held his sister in his hand as he tried to get her to come to herself."Becca?" He asked. "What is the matter sister?" He asked her but Rebecca remained quiet. She was still in a trance."Becca?" Diana called out loud and she snapped to reality with a gasp,"What is the matter?" Diana asked her.Rebecca couldn't comprehend anything they were all saying. Her mind went back to a flashback of the day it all started. She remembered it like it was happening all over
Ashton drove along the road thinking deeply about everything that went on in the station. Angel sat quietly in the passengers seat. She wrapped her arms around herself as she sat like she was catching a cold. Ashton clenched his fists against the steering wheels while he drove. He was fuming evidently. He did not know what to do with his anger. He drove with so much speed that Angel was beginning to worry. She looked alarmed at him but dared not utter a word. Not if she didn't want him to cuss her out. They soon got to a traffic stop and Ashton came to halt with a screech."Shit!" He muttered in frustration, aggressively slapping at the horns of the car and the car gave a loud and noisy honking sound, there by drawing a lot of attention to them. Angel cowered in humility. She knew how angry. Only a matter of seconds now and he would explode. She counted as she bid her time.OneTwoThree"I can't believe you would freaking do that!" He
Angel looked at Elizabeth. She could see that Elizabeth was quite younger than Ashton but no doubt as kind as he was. Something told her that she could trust this woman. She noticed the seemingly expensive outfit the woman wore and the way it fitted her form so perfectly. She wished she could have the same type of body as this lady. She could see that the lady was well to do, what with the expensive clothes she wore along with the expensive shoes and bags she had with her. There was no doubt that she was going to be safe in her hands. She regarded Elizabeth for a moment before she turned her attention to Ashton. "What happened to the foster home?" She asked Ashton knowing it was rude to ask him that question in front of Elizabeth but she did anyway. She never said she was a saint. Ashton shifted uncomfortably under her gaze. He noticed that Elizabeth had looked at him as well. He cleared his throat as he spoke. "Miss Cooper will take care of you better than the foster homes will."
Rebecca got into the bathroom and settled in. She ran a hot bath for herself. She was going to make for herself a hot lavender bath. She desperately needed to calm her nerves. She was distraught and she needed to ease the tension that she felt. She could well over say that she was falling sick from all those activities that happened these past few weeks. She soberly stepped into the bath as she lowered myself into the hate bath as she closed her eyes to allow the water to get into her creamy skin. While she allowed the water to get into her body, she drank from the glass of wine that she had poured into a glass and waiting beside her bath. She took the drink as she allowed it to get into her body just the way the lavender water was getting into she body. While she sipped, she heard herphone ring and she glanced to it. She grabbed it with my dry hand as I stared into the receiver caller ID, I saw that it was Myles. I hadn't heard from him since he dropped me back at my place. I tappe
