Ashton walked back home as he made his way to see Angel. When he had been told about Elizabeth Cooper, the thought that Elizabeth could be Angel's age was unsettling. Thomas had told him that Elizabeth was critically ill and the thought that it could be Angel was unsettling to him. He walked back home, strolling in his oversized suit. It was exactly oversized, Ashton just liked putting on stuff that were larger than his normal large frame and that was his flex. He ran his fingers through his unruly curly hair as he walked. He could tell that the roads were becoming lonelier. One of the shittiest facts about this area where he lived was that it was a rough neighborhood. There were constant fights and robbery and dare he say killings that one would think this was some slum black neighborhood. But in contrast, this was a purely white neighborhood, just that they did lots of drugs and shit. He walked along the way, casually holding his briefcase in his hand. Then, at a few feets from hi
Rebecca was still not over what Thomas Gomez had done to her. How could he betray her? How could he abandon her when they had started together? It wasn't like he was some sort of anchor to her business or something but he was one of the founding partners of her company. She simply couldn't understand the motive behind his actions as she knew that Thomas Gomez was a good man and he wasn't easily swayed which was what confused her the more. Somehow, she felt that the universe was trying to punish her for what she did to Ashton but she brushed that thought aside. There was nothing like karma, she was a master of karma. She was a go getter and she always made sure to go for what she wanted, she also knew when said thing se went for got expired and knew when to do away with such things. Karma be damned. She walked to her office, ignoring her secretary who stood anxiously waiting for her. She walked passed her, her face contorted in a deep scrowl that sent out the message loud and clearly
Ashton waited by the road for Thomas' car. He looked at his wrist watch for the upteenth time and still Thomas had still not shown up. The asshole had assured him that he would be parked in front of him in the next ten minutes and it had been well over fifteen minutes and he still wasn't there. This was one of the reasons why Ashton despised rich people. They never seemed to keep their promises. Most of them though. Especially the ones with cars. He cursed under his breath as he waited yet a little longer. Few seconds later and he saw a blue convertible with it's roof still up, drive towards him and Ashton knew that it was Thomas. This was because he knew that no one else in this slum like neighborhood cared or were even rich enough to afford such a car. The car pulled up in front of where Ashton stood with his two hands in his pockets and came to a stop. Ashton watched as the tinted black windows slid down and he rolled his eyes to see Thomas putting on sun shades inside a car. W

Thomas' car stopped in the front of the Coopers' mansion and Ashton looked in awe at the building. It was huge. He could say it was magnificent. Ashton continued to stare in awe at the magnificent mansion while Thomas got down from the car and walked around to his side of the car. He tapped lightly on Ashton's door and Ashton had to force himself to stop drooling at the beauty of the place. He eyed Thomas who snickered at him. The asshole. He soon got off from the car and didn't forget to bang at the door, you know, just because he could. They both turned and were met by two officially dressed bald headed men in black tuxes. They both wore sun shades. Ashton wondered within himself whether there was something going on today with the way everyone was putting on sun shades. With that thought in mind, he watched Thomas shake hands with the bald headed men and he did the same. "This is my friend and business associate." Thomas introduced Ashton to them and one of them nodded. "His name
Ashton ignored the look Thomas was shooting his way when he said his last words. Mr Cooper regarded him for a moment before he nodded his head and spoke with a smile suddenly appearing on his face. "Of course," he spoke smiling at Ashton. He then motioned for one of his security men to go to him and he whispered something into his ears. Ashton saw the security guy nod his head and leave immediately. Then Mr Cooper turned to look at Ashton again. "He has to go make sure that Elizabeth is presentable." He explained and Ashton nodded his head. Mr Cooper then proceeded to look away and continue with his cigar while Thomas tried to gain Ashton's attention. "What are you doing?" Thomas asked him but he ignored him. Thomas had no idea of what Ashton was capable of. He knew nothing about what Ashton was capable of doing. Ashton never announced his capabilities to just anyone. Even his ex wife whom he had known for quite some time knew nothing about the fact that he had the ability to heal
Thomas couldn't shake the feeling of unease as he watched Ashton confidently stride into the room where Elizabeth lay, her frail form a stark contrast to the opulence of her surroundings. His mind raced with questions, doubts gnawing at him like relentless insects. What was Ashton planning? How could he possibly help Elizabeth when countless doctors had failed? But as Mr. Cooper welcomed Ashton's offer with cautious optimism, Thomas found himself caught between skepticism and hope. He knew Ashton well enough to understand that beneath his enigmatic exterior lay a genuine desire to help others, but this claim seemed too audacious, too fantastical to accept at face value. As Ashton and Mr. Cooper stepped outside for a private conversation, Thomas couldn't help but feel a surge of apprehension. What if Ashton was delusional? What if his attempt to help Elizabeth only caused her more suffering? Yet, as he watched Ashton speak with conviction, his doubts began to wane.Ashton's words reso
