"You think so?" Rebecca asked Myles. He nodded his head as if she could see him. He was walking towards her office.
"I am one hundred percent positive." He said in response, figuring that she didn't hear him after all.
"Are you kidding me Myles Jameson?" She asked him. She was finding it difficult to believe him. This was as a result of their, you know, previous encounter with the Coopers.
"I am right at your door so let me in." She heard Myles say instead and she looked up to see through her glasses doors that he wasn't kidding.
"Come on in." She said. Letting him in. Myles Jameson came into the office and ended the call. He had on a smile on his face. He looked like this plan was going to work.
"Have a seat ." She offered to him as she dropped her phone. "I shouldn't be letting you come visit me anymore but I simply cannot help it." She told him. He laughed at that.
"That is understandable." He responded
Angel looked at Elizabeth. She could see that Elizabeth was quite younger than Ashton but no doubt as kind as he was. Something told her that she could trust this woman. She noticed the seemingly expensive outfit the woman wore and the way it fitted her form so perfectly. She wished she could have the same type of body as this lady. She could see that the lady was well to do, what with the expensive clothes she wore along with the expensive shoes and bags she had with her. There was no doubt that she was going to be safe in her hands. She regarded Elizabeth for a moment before she turned her attention to Ashton."What happened to the foster home?" She asked Ashton knowing it was rude to ask him that question in front of Elizabeth but she did anyway. She never said she was a saint.Ashton shifted uncomfortably under her gaze. He noticed that Elizabeth had looked to him as well. He cleared his throat as he spoke."Miss Cooper will take care of yo
"The ashwagandha plant." Ashton muttered the moment he opened his eyes. He hadn't realized until now that he had been sleeping all these while. He could not even fully comprehend the dream he just had. What was this dream about and what was this ashwagandha plant he was dreaming about? He wondered as he looked around him. Was it some sort of folklore or something? He asked himself as he sat up from his bed. What was this dream about? He quickly got up from his bed as he went over to his laptop computer and booted on the system. After which he typed in the name he had muttered out loud right from the moment he had woken from sleep. On the screen of his laptop computer, the time was four fifteen a.m and he knew that this was supposed to be the time many other people would get up and prepare for their day's activities.Ashton hastily typed in the word; ashwagandha plant into the system and waited for the computer to fetch the informat
Rebecca found herself in bed. She stirred and felt the panging head ache that hit her. She groaned out loud in pains as she looked around the room. She was in her room alright, but she didn't understand how she got here. Last thing she remembered was that she was at a club with Myles and his friends so what was she doing here? She heard a ringing sound and groaned again. It felt like the sound was making the pain in her head more excruciating. She looked around and spotted her phone on the bed side table. It was ringing. Letting out a sigh, she leaned towards the table and grabbed the phone as it rang on the table, vibrating on the table. She peered into the screen and saw the unknown caller id that was displayed on the screen. Who could that be? And why the hell were they calling at, was it? Still seven a.m in the morning? She wanted to ignore the calls. She badly wanted to do that. But then she reasoned that it could be urgent. God forbid that she would reject someone's call when
Rebecca let out a small and sinister smile. She had achieved what she wanted to achieve. She knew the truth and was glad that Laura's action had proven it more. Laura angrily grabbed the bottle and spun it. She probably wanted it to land on Rebecca but unfortunately it didn't. It landed on Elizabeth. Laura let out a small sigh and that seemed to excite Rebecca more. "Truth or dare Elizabeth?" She asked her while eyeing Rebecca. "Truth." Elizabeth responded and glanced around the room. "Is it true that you and Myles were once in a relationship of some sorts?" She asked as she glanced at Rebecca, her temper lowered as she was getting her sweet revenge now. Or so she thought. Rebecca's subconscious rolled her eyes. What a bitch, she thought. Elizabeth let out a chuckle while Myles remained silent. She knew the group was suspecting this already. "Well," Elizabeth said. "I wouldn't say we dated. We were just close friends. My family is fond of him and that was how we bonded, he was a
Rebecca eyed Myles from where she stood at the receptionist's counter. She was beyond frustrated. She could have just stayed in here for a few minutes, had Myles gone immediately after dropping her off. Now she was going to have to sit through this.... painful appointment. She let out a sigh as she stared at the dumb receptionist who couldn't save a life even if she tried. "Like I said," she said to the receptionist. " I have an appointment with Dr Schwartz." She said to her but the receptionist kept insisting. "I'm really sorry ma'am but Dr Schwartz doesn't have any appointments with you." She told her and Rebecca glared at her. "If you could provide an valid evidence that shows that you indeed have an appointment with him, then we'll let you meet him. But for now, there is no proof that you have an appointment with him. " She said and Rebecca was silent for a moment. This wasn't working at all. This lame woman sitting here was as clueless as a deer that is looking at an incoming
Just then the door bell rang and Myles chose to go get the door rather than to stay back and answer Rebecca's questions. Rebecca rolled her eyes as she watched him go. No answer definitely meant a yes. She felt irritated at that. Myles soon returned with another female. She looked more quiet than Larisa but Rebecca maintained a scrowl as she didn't know what to expect this time. "Rebecca meet another friend of mine." Myles introduced the lady with a smile. Turning to the quiet and pretty lady he spoke. "This is Rebecca Knowles, CEO of Knowles Corps." He said and Rebecca nodded her head when the charming lady nodded hers. "And this is Elizabeth Cooper." He said and Rebecca's eyes widened at that. She looked more closely at Elizabeth as she got up from her seat. She turned to look at Myles and he nodded his head at her in confirmation. This time, she was the one who stretched forth her hand at Elizabeth for a handshake. "It's a pleasure to finally meet you Miss Cooper. " She said a
Rebecca sat on the seat of Myles office, thinking everything through. God how she hated that arrogant prick. He didn't just say those words to her, she thought. She tried concentrating once again on her work but felt so frustrated that she literally wished she was back at her office so she would kick at her expensive as shit mahogany teakwood table. Ouch! That hurt! That's it! She got up with determination, her gears were set like a race car set to ride through the track and she approached the door with so much vigor that she low-key felt bad for the door. Hide away door, the mighty hulk approaches. Her inner subconscious sneered and she rolled her eyes. She took the door by the handle and was about to pull it open when it was pushed by someone else and she stepped back with a startle. Oh right. Just who she wanted to meet at the moment. Again. He stood there in his sleek suit, looking like he wasn't the monster he was. "Were you coming to see me? " He asked with a knowing look,
The workday dragged on slower than the usual, usual if you know what I mean, but Rebecca found herself counting the minutes until she could escape the suffocating confines of Thomas' office. She hated that she now had to work here to tarry and be able to bid her time until her full revenge. But she had no say in this....at least for now. She had barely managed to make it through the day after that unnerving conversation with Thomas earlier on. Her mother was always eager to capitalize on any opportunity and now she had agreed to stand in for her in the contract if it came to that. It felt like another layer of pressure, another reminder that she was trapped in this mess. Why the hell was Laura Knowles being this way?And she thought she was the crazy one. Clearly she inherited it from her mother. And, as if things weren’t bad enough, she had to deal with Ashton’s arrogance at every turn. Finally, as the clock hit 6:00 PM, Max and Carl appeared in the doorway, all smiles and chatter.
