CHAPTER 133

Jain could feel her heart throbbing as she knelt beside the body of Jacob. She held his hands and realized they were ice cold. He wasn’t breathing, and there was blood all over his shirt which was oozing out of holes that were bored on several spots on his torso. Jain’s hands were shivering as she touched his cheeks. His body was hard and cold. She couldn’t believe this was happening again. It couldn’t be.

She couldn’t lose another partner. Not this time, but she knew it was already too late. Jacob was gone, and he wasn’t coming back. Jain stopped touching him and looked at her hands. They were trembling and were stained with his blood.

All of a sudden, Jacob’s body was gone and she was alone in the parking lot. The street lamp above her flickered and went off making everywhere dark.
