“So when can I get it?” Rylan asked. He was standing at the fireplace with a glass of scotch in his hand and with a phone in his ear. “It’s going to take about twenty-four hours,” the voice replied on the other end of the line. “Splendid. Get back to me soon.”“Will do, sir.”And with that, the line went dead. Rylan sighed and shoved the phone back into his pocket taking a sip of his scotch. The fire was warm and crackling. She seemed infuriated by something. “I was out looking for answers,” she replied.

A black sedan pulled over on the lawn of Tristan’s mansion and Detective Jain Reynolds stepped out of the car. She had her phone in her hand as she tried calling Stanley but there was no response. What the hell could he be doing? There were a lot of questions he had to answer, like why he had chosen to shut down all the cases that were related to the cartel. It made no sense to Jain. Jain shoved the phone into her pocket after trying his line one more time. She knew that she was going to find her answer here. This was where it had all climaxed.
