Marie wasn't hearing any of her pleas because she had left her to decide wisely. Joy went inside her room, she was devastated and helpless. She couldn't think straight, so she ended up crying. She cried out loud that her whimper could be heard by her mother in the next room, but instead of Marie showing up and giving her the support and strength she needed, she didn't care. All she did was to leave the girl to her predicament.

She cried herself to sleep and the ball socket of her eyes almost bulged out. Early morning of the following day, she did minimal clean up on her body, then she set out to meet the only person that had been her confidant for a very long time. Without informing her mother, she went to visit Ms Jane in the Old folks home.
