Pain and Agony

“ What are you talking about, Dad? Were you aware of mom's illness? Why wasn't I informed” Lilly stared furiously at her father, demanding immediate answers to her questions.

“ At the initial stage of her discovery, she didn't tell me anything, I was also kept in darkness. I stumbled on a piece of paper which fell from her bag, a week to your wedding. That was when I realized my wife had been diagnosed with blood cancer for a few months now and as a husband, I failed to notice it.” Justin explained.

Lilly sat down on a bare floor, “ I don't even know what is happening in my family anymore. Are you sure you still consider me as a part of the family? Why did mom keep something as serious as this from me? Why!” She screamed. She felt betrayed by her parents and she felt useless.
