Mark sat on the couch in his living room, staring blankly at the TV. It had been two months since the incident, and he still couldn't believe what had happened to him.

He had been discharged from the hospital two days ago, but he was still struggling to come to terms with his new reality.

He now had an artificial leg in place of the one he had lost, and he needed a walking aid to move around.

Kathryn sat next to him on the couch, her eyes filled with tears as she looked at him. She couldn't believe how much he had changed in such a short amount of time.

"Mark, I'm so sorry that you have to go through this. I was the one who discouraged you from getting a bodyguard. Maybe, if you had gotten a bodyguard, this wouldn't have happened." Kathryn said.
