THE BURDEN

"Curtis has been in the hospital for months now, but his condition does not seem to be improving. But it seems to be getting more complicated. Today the doctor says he's ill with a certain sickness; tomorrow he says another thing is wrong with him. On different occasions when he promised that Curtis would be released, it was never so.

I keep on spending so much every passing day, and I just wonder when he will be discharged," Taylor told his wife.

"I'm not happy either. I'm so unhappy at the moment. Just wonder when all these will pass, because I'm getting tired myself. I'm no longer sure of what to do," Rose responded.

Taylor had spent so much on Curtis' hospital bills in the last few weeks and he was getting Taylor tired of the whole stuff. The doctor no longer promised any specific time when Curtis would be discharged from the hospital.
