THE TEMPTATION

Stephanie had resigned from work at Purple Flowers a day before. She woke up so early and moved to a room different from where she and Jakes slept. Then she began to think of the next step to take.

She was not willing to be idle, because she was pregnant, so she began to surf the internet for ideas. She thought of applying to another company for part-time work. She remembered the Pregnancy Discrimination Act (PDA) which forbids pregnancy-based discrimination in the workforce, and where it is also legally stated that a pregnant woman could work for how long she wished to work.

She had worked in two different companies during her pregnancy, and now she wished she could get a place where she wouldn't have to resign so quickly this time. She tried to search for companies which required her service through the internet when she stumbled on one that caught her attention.

It was a food company where she would be able to work part-time, for just four hours per day, unlike her work at Purple
