THE TRUTH UNVEILED
Paul had been calling Mrs Allison's phone several times without success. But he was not giving up; he needed to speak to her, and he needed to do it urgently. Finally, he was able to get her on the phone.

"Hello, Kayla, it's Paul. I've been trying to reach you."

"Paul, what do you want? I hope you're not calling to threaten me again," she said in a tone that showed she was scared.

"No, no, not at all," Paul said. "I just need to talk to you about something very important. It concerns Stephanie."

"What about Stephanie?" Mrs Allison asked.

"Well, I'm concerned about her attitude towards me. I don't think it's right, and I want to talk to you about it," Paul said.

"I don't see how that concerns me," Mrs Allison said, still suspicious of Paul's motives.

"Please, Kayla, just hear me out. I promise I won't hurt you or anyone else. I just want to talk," Paul said, trying to sound as sincere as possible.
