Stephanie ignored the message Douglas sent and picked up her bag to leave the office. It was raining heavily, but she was happy that she was going to be home soon after a long day at work. She was not only excited that she was going to see Jakes again, but she was excited about the new house.

She remembered the previous house they lived, and how Jakes struggled to make ends meet. The roof leaked, and anytime rain fell, she spent so much time mopping the water that filled the rooms. Therefore, she was not happy living in that house. They only lived in that house because the both of them could not afford a better one.

But now, the new house Jakes lived in was very comfortable and spacious. And it had five rooms with excellent facilities. Asides from that, the both of them now ate so well, compared to when they first got married where Jakes could only afford a square meal, which never satisfied them.

When Stephanie got back home, she noticed rose flowers on the floor, from the entrance,
