144 - Right or Wrong

On the way, Preston had another thought. Preston wanted to make sure of something first before giving a report to Theodore. Preston turned the steering wheel and headed towards what was none other than the prison.

Preston wanted to make sure that Spencer was still in prison and that he really hadn't done anything. “Good afternoon, I'd like to see Mr. Spencer.” Preston said to the policeman on guard.

“Okay, just a moment.” The policeman sent Preston to the waiting room and then called Spencer.

Preston waited patiently as he organized all the questions and statements in his head. A few minutes later, Spencer walked up to Preston and gave him a confused look. Spencer knew it was unusual for Preston to come to visit him so Spencer just stayed silent and sat down.

“What are you doing here?” A flat question given by Spencer to Preston.

“How are you?” Preston asked carefully and gently.

“Nothing special, I just want to get out of here.” Spencer answered honestly.
