Chapter 175

When Stephen invited Fiona into the mansion, two lines of female servants on the left and right sides of the corridor bowed respectfully, welcoming the young master and his wife as they entered the dining room.

The dining room appeared incredibly spacious with tall walls and a long table. Paintings in the romanticism art movement style adorned the walls, framed with gold-patterned floral motifs. In the center of the table, three antique candle holders stood, and an elaborate chandelier hung from the ceiling. Overall, the room bore the Victorian design aesthetic.

Stephen sat at one end of the table, while Fiona took the seat closest to him.

It didn't take long before plates filled with lavish and luxurious dishes graced the dining table. Their hunger couldn't be contained any longer, so both of them indulged heartily in their meal.

Fiona wiped the edges of her lips with a napkin and then chuckled softly. "I’m sorry for eating messily. I only just realized how hungry I truly am!"
