Surprisingly, she allows him to drive her to her hotel.

He said that he is going to take his car and he will see to it that her car is delivered to her hotel, first thing in the morning.

When they get into his G wagon, she leans against the headrest and shuts her eyes.

He divides his attention between driving the car and keeping an eye on her. He hates to see her hurt like this. He hates to see that she is constantly putting herself in harm's way.

She opens her eyes suddenly, locking eyes with him.

“Why do you keep doing this?” He asks her.

“Keep doing what?”

“Why do you keep putting yourself in harm's way? Almost every time I see you, you are dodging bullets or firing a gun.” His voice is heavy with worry.

“Too bad I couldn't dodge this one,” she jokes as she looks out of the window.

“That's not even funny. Why the hell are you so nonchalant about your life?” His jaw tightens. “Do you realize that you could have died today?”
