The main problem that is bugging Ruby now is how is she going to tell Andrew about this?

She doesn't intend to marry the anonymous partner, but she knows that she has to tell Andrew what has happened.

She has to tell him that the man that technically owns their house has proposed marriage to her. She has to tell him that her parents, whom he has grown to love and think of as his own, are in support of her marrying this man.

Ruby locks herself in the bathroom for almost an hour. She is staring into her reflection and she heaves a sigh every now and then.

She doesn't understand why this is happening to her. Why does the anonymous partner want to marry her? Out of every person?

And her parents, they are trying to make her feel like she is going to regret passing on this opportunity, if she doesn't accept it.

But she doesn't love the anonymous partner. She has never seen the man, she doesn't know what he even looks like, but she wants to marry her?!

She heaves again and opens the
